Re: DropIt

Lupo73, thank you for your attention to this issue. I downloaded the latest version (says 7:50 PM on build time), and it works with all launchers, shortcuts and on its own now. I think I had it isolated while you were working on this, it was a problem with the 'lock" command. It seemed to work ...

Re: DropIt

OK. After some testing the following are the particulars on my system - XP Pro. Service Pack 2 no mods. Clean install just 2 days ago. For this experiment I used no launchers or desktop shortcuts. Simply Start(ed) from the DropIt directory and exited through Exit command on icon. Importantly, no ico...

Re: DropIt

And a little more info... I provide the ini entries of the two launchers to see whether this might point to something. Again, perhaps nothing ... HotCorners2 ini file configuration: TL=D:\3.0.Operating\Z-Drive-PStart\USBApplications\DropIt\DropIt.exe PStart ini file configuration: USBApplications\Dr...

Re: DropIt

Re: DropIt latest (0.5.3 beta) - creeping Icon issue This may or may not help identify the problem, but I came across an oddity by accident in DropIt. I tried to launch Dropit through a launcher application (Hot Corners2) only to find it only worked the first time correctly (then exit), after which...

Re: DropIt

Thanks for the replies joby_toss and Lupo73 - I have more info that might help. Firstly in regard to"powerpro deskbar" - no I don't use it. I run a basic XP (standard). New information... If I set the 0:0 coordinates directly into the ini file, it does not move at startup. It does if I mov...

Re: DropIt

Re: Creeping icon in XP Service pack 2. The DropIt icon, does not maintain its position on my setup on computer restart. What it does is to creep down progressively on each restart even when "Lock Software Position" is checked. For example: 1. If I set icon position position PosX=0; PosY=...

Re: DropIt

I would like to point out that [TaskBar button] is not needed for some reason (I As I suggested in the old thread I too find this a redundant function. But, I have also noted in the latest version is that you can have multiple instances of DropIt open which too is redundant (duplication). I cannot ...

Re: looking for a program but can't find what im looking for :(

Re: Version 0.5.1 This version shows the application icon in the Taskbar when active. I am not sure that this is necessary since all options and commands are available through "right-click" on the Desktop DropIt icon. I feel that this is a duplication and takes up unnecessarily real-estate...

Re: looking for a program but can't find what im looking for :(

I agree completely with the above sentiments. have been looking for an application such as DropIt for a long time and it does all that I want it to - No nasty surprises!!!! Icon transparency might be a welcome addition for the future - suits me fine ...

Re: looking for a program but can't find what im looking for :(

Thank you for this excellent program - just what I was looking for!!! Just two observations for the moment: 1. Can the "Manage Duplicates" provide for "rename" and accordingly for "Process Mode" to append suffix (user preferred - say 001) or to be completed automaticall...
