Re: Classic Browser (Chromium based)
For me, the first criteria of portability is nicely summed by this : Allmost all "portabilized" chromium-based browsers have a serious problem recently (generally with Chromium 59, I think) : they are not truly portable any more ! Namely, when transferring to another PC (e.g. via USB stick), all the...

Re: CD Sync (DotNET disk cataloguer)
Hi Ankit, welcome to the site. I think it's unlikely you'd get a reply from smaragdus, since his stats indicate his last logon was in 2019! But it's great you let us know you have open sourced the CD Sync program. You never know, someone might join the community later, finds your program fulfills a ...

Marked. This is potentially a very useful app eg. swap Ctrl and FN keys if the BIOS doesn't support it.

Registration Q&A changed
It was good while it lasted...
The recent increase in spam posts tells me our previous registration Q&A have been breached. So I have changed the answers to thwart the dark forces.
Till next time!

Re: Video Duplicate Finder
i tried this program and it doesn't seem to detect the same video at different resolutions too well fwiw What res vids did you have? I had a couple of movies at 720p vs 1080p, and they were flagged as dups (the 720p were actually down-converted from 1080p using Handbrake, and I forgot to delete the...

Re: RLVision CCTime [time tracking utility]
Bump. I think this app deserves a second look if you are looking for a simple time tracker.
The only other time tracking app in the database is Quasima Chrono Tracker, which is slightly bulkier.
Both are .NET apps.

Re: Video Duplicate Finder
Added to database: https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=3054 I came across this independently while looking for a util that will find video duplicates based on content. This is the only open-source one as far as I can tell, and super fast. I unleashed it on my 500GB collection of video file...

Re: Shotcut - video editor
I have updated the entry with the new information, and also added a link in the description to the PA entry (as we normally do for such cases). On a side note, I am appalled by such behaviour that normally wouldn't occur in the physical world. Let's face it, very few people would behave like total p...

Re: Pixopedia 2014 Paint & Edit App
Added to the database: https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=3048 I am in the process of feeding my kid with various painting software for his pursuit of digital art. This one turns out to have a much steeper learning curve than he can handle. However, I get the sense that this is a really powerful t...

Re: 3D Youtube Downloader
I see. Thanks for the input. I knew forum search required a minimum of 3 characters in a word for the query to go through, but was not expecting that limitation to silently void a multi word search in the database. I know this is an old topic, but I modified the DB config to reduce the minimum sear...
