Re: ColorConsole

I want to try out this app but would like some clarification if I could get it please, do we need to create an .ini or not? I would like to avoid any unneccessary junk getting created if I can avoid it - so I ask :) You run ColorConsole_x64_p.exe , and the INI file ColorConsole.ini will be created ...

Re: Can the front page by default, show at least 10 entries by default?

Can the front page by default, show at least 10 entries by default? I'm not interested in saving browser cookies, or having "DOM's" remember my settings, but having it set at 5 is annoying when you constantly miss one or two things. Anything more is probably just to much given the amount that gets ...

Re: WildGem - Regex but without the confusion

Andrew and Midas: Should hopefully work for both of you now. I tested on Windows 10 and Windows 7 at 1920x1080 and 1360x768 using scalings of 100%, 125%, 150% and 175% (and more) with both Windows XP style scaling and normal. Yup, works for me too. Thanks! I consider myself above average with regex...

Re: File-sync/backup program, quick & easy, for good

Moving and renaming files do not modify their timestamps. I just verified that. However, I don't understand why that should be a problem. For example, I use robocopy and rsync to do backups. If I rename a file, or move a file to another folder, that file will be missing from the backup, and will be ...

Re: WildGem - Regex but without the confusion

FYI, I usually solve the blurry text in legacy applications by right-clicking the executable, selecting " Properties " from the Context Menu, going to the " Compatibility " tab and the " High DPI Settings " button, where I let them be overridden by the Application -- something which may require adm...

Re: WildGem - Regex but without the confusion

So I changed to standard scaling as you suggested, and yes, the layout problem is gone, but it made me remember why I turned on custom scaling in the first place: the blurry font problem. screenshot.png Notice how in the screenshot, the text in the title bar (first red arrow) is much sharper than th...

Re: WildGem - Regex but without the confusion

Believe or not, I am using custom 150%!

I am using a 14" laptop, 1080p screen. Even 125% is too small for my elderly eyesight!

And yes, I am the guy who sets the font scaling to max on my Android phone.

Re: WildGem - Regex but without the confusion

@twinbee:

Do you have any idea why the layout of WildGem looks screwy on my PC?

Note: I am using the latest version of Windows 10

Re: Paint.NET

Thanks. I have updated the entry to point the download to Github.

As the releases notes states clearly the nuances of platform prerequisites, I think I will leave them out of the entry.

Nice. I have removed .NET as a requirement from the database entry.
