Re: ExifTool GUI - metadata editor

I have updated the database entry with the new information, providing some historical context, and pointing to the various pathways of obtaining the prepackaged portable 32-bit/64-bit versions of the program vs. rolling your own with all the dependencies.

Re: Dark mode

I received a private email from ripu about the recently implemented dark mode. However, I think this issue is best discussed in the forum, so I am reproducing his email below: Hi, The dark mode is too bad. It's 0 dark with 255 text. Which harts eyes, like a flash light in your eyes in a dark room. I...

Re: Dark mode

It indeed works now, thanks! But that false is only a default in case there's no cookie, while our issue was not reading the existing cookie correctly. Besides, === (which for some reason you changed to ==) made sure comparing false to 'true' would not match. Since for an unknown reason it fixed it...

Re: Dark mode

OK, I think I found the problem. The correct code should be: $dark_case = $this->request->variable($cookie_darkmode_name, 'false', false, \phpbb\request\request_interface::COOKIE) == 'true'; (Note the second parameter [default cookie value] should be a string, not a boolean, since cookie valu...

Re: Portable Chrome

As for Google's shenanigans, am I the only one who isn't in the least surprised? They've been pretty consistent over the years in dis-empowering users of their products... I can't think of any big company that hasn't behaved in this way! More recently, Reddit comes to mind. I suspect there is some ...

What do you mean by "without authorization"?

As far as I know, you can simply click on "Light mode" to switch the display:

Re: Dark mode

Well, turns out it was because of Incognito which blocks a:visited. Please change to this revised CSS which adds dark mode colors for a:visited and a:hover - there original CSS doesn't have a:active so I didn't touch it Change applied! I noticed you were trying to make the submit button gray with t...

Done!
