Re: LibreOffice Portable
I removed LO on this system a while back due to issues with the drive. I'll check other portable installs on my other systems in the next few days and see if I have any crashes. I've been mostly using the most up to date version PortableApps has out. I see a .odt file listed in the pic, is that the ...

Re: Photivo
Odd. I just started it, cropped a CR2 Canon Camera Pic and changed the color a bit and saved the file just to test and works fine.
I used uniextract2 to extract the setup file, added the "use-portable-profile" file and removed "setup" from the directory name only and it works fine.

Re: Photivo
Looks to be saving data (.ini) files in application folder but I did see a bunch of stuff in the registry. I'm not sure if all of the registry hits were Windows based stuff but most did appear to be. I did see a few registry hits that appeared to be "association" related stuff. Program has a LOT of ...

Re: Telegram - cross platform, secure chat
I'll admit, I'm kind of torn on this subject after the events of the last week. I wholeheartedly agree that a secure and private platform is needed to protect freedoms around the world really, but with people using these platforms to setup/plan insurrection and/or violent actions.... The stuff I've ...

Thanks, but I think it was Ennovy that made that suggestion.

HamMultiPlayer --> https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2791
My suggestions, pretty much in that order.

Would be nice to be able to select grouped items. Maybe so we could download all files for vc, .net, etc.

A Java based database program for "database subsetting, schema and data browsing". From the home page: Jailer is a tool for database subsetting, schema and data browsing. Re: Site usability testing results
After clicking Download --> Could a "I hate myself for saying it" popup be added? Maybe one that could be printed or saved as a file with the "download" name +extraction+portability instructions? A primary search result --> I like the "primary" keyword idea, like have that program/post weighted. For...

Re: Atlantis Word Processor [not portable]
Just to put in my 2 Cents... I tend to pass on posts with a lot of text formatting. I don't mind some extra formatting, for instance, slightly increased font size, bold or underlined words for things like Program name, Homepage or Download links but I don't see the need for all the formatting in mul...

Re: xplorer2 Lite
I have a 1TB WD My Passport that the same thing happened too. I had it sitting around for like 2 years and occasionally tried to get it working with no luck. Then one day I installed LXLE 12.04 or so (A Lubuntu based distro) on an old laptop. I decided to give "testdisk" a try and after some effort,...

Re: Tom's Viewer
Tom's Viewer has been around for what, 2-1/2 years? The others you mention have been around much longer. Tom's Viewer is still under development and the author has been active on this site. I don't find it a waste of time at all to give a developer a chance. I haven't used the program yet but I down...
