Re: You're all wonderful

I agree 100%. This post is long overdue... There are so many who spend countless hours making the site the best in class. Although I am not an active contributor, I really appreciate the efforts of so many, making this my daily 'go-to' site for my evolving suite of portable Windows applications. A m...

Re: Textilosaurus - simple text editor

BTW, great job... I do like the URL highlighting.

Is there any chance you could add spell checking capabilities to the product? Along with the usual coding tasks, I would also use it for simple text file editing.

Thanks, Nick

Re: Vote for the 2017 best portablefreeware!

Don't want to taint the voting, but I selected CSearcher. This is a great replacement for the crappy Windows search. I can find my files quickly with little or no effort and the UI was well-designed. Also, my other honorable mention is ScreenToGif. These two are my choice as 'must haves' for 2017. C...

I sure hope they let John 'paf the app'. If they do, I will move from FF to Vivaldi.

Re: House of fail (we got scraped)

I hate to hear that this happened and if they actually 'stole' the site source code, I hope you can track these idiots down and prosecute them to the highest extent of the law. The credibility of TPFC will NOT be compromised on our watch, that's for sure. Shout out to lintalist for finding it, webfo...

Re: System Restore

So I have been using CCleaner for several years now and I never looked at the 'System Restore' option. Sometimes, I can easily overlook the obvious :) Thanks to NickR for calling this out - it solves my problem with deleting old restore points. I appreciate the kind feedback.... You guys are the best!

Re: System Restore

I started using System Restore back when I upgraded from Window 7 to Windows 8. I am currently using Windows 10 and it works perfectly. Recently, I got hit by a virus and was able to go successfully back to last restore point. Other than some policy keys that the virus added to the registry (found w...

Re: Emsisoft Emergency Kit

This is truly a great find... I ran it on my PC and it found registry keys that did not belong... carryover from a virus hit. Once again, great find, joby_toss!
