Thanks for your input, though I think that you should thank the creator of Portable Notepad2, nm35. I created PortableAudacity and it works mainly the same way. Thanks again! :-D

Your description was correct except that the first time you run it, there should be no reg file in the folder, but upon shutdown, it creates one and then exports it upon re-opening. The file is then overwritten with the new settings if y...

It should work on its own, exporting the reg entry on startup and writing to a reg file on shutdown. What system are you using, we have had no reported problems thus far. Thanks!

I would like to suggest an app called Portable NSIS. Portable Psi - jabber IM client [discontinued]

I would like to suggest an app called Portable Psi. It is a portable version of the Jabber client Psi. This will allow you to log into your GTalk account or any other Jabber account from anywhere!

Portable Audacity and Portable Notepad2

nm35 and I have released Portable Audacity and Portable Notepad2. I mentioned them both because they are on your list of non-portable apps. Both are open-source and are available here: Portable Audacity: http://www.portasoft.org/e107/page.php?21 Portable Notepad2: http://www.portasoft.org/e107/page....

Thanks!

no

You're quite welcome! :D Actually, you run the program for the first time using its own exe, then click on RegRap.exe to import the registry entries (after filling out the INI first of course) and then run the program with its exe every other time. About the parameters, I don't think that it support...

I have used it several times as a member of that site, and it works great. This could be used to make any app that is only non-portable because of registry entries portable. :D
