Mypal (XP-compatible web browser)

"Mypal is a current and maintained browser for Windows XP."

So happy I found this yesterday, based on Palemoon and works with many legacy FF and Palemoon extensions.
The installer comes with portable and stealth options

n need of a program, any help?

I've been looking for a program for xp32bit, portable of course. All I need is something that can open up a webpage and log me in at set intervals when I'm not at my PC. I'm sure I've heard of one somewhere but can't find it through a web search, Google certainly is not my friend. Anybody know of one?

@om4gus

You're using notepad 2 in this which may be a good editor but isn't portable.
You might want to try a different plugin.

I don't know if this will help at all but the only two programs I have that can do this are IEradicator which only works on 95 to 98 and, I believe, XPLite which is not freeware.

One of these may be what you remember as I get just about all my software from this site and peoples recommendations here.

Queue you're a lifesaver. The only way I ever managed this was to change the icon with explorer and edit the ini file after, before that I noticed lockdir changed the folder icon so I used that before editing the ini. Obviously both useless ideas for here (Although it it one good use for lockdir) bu...

Foxit V3 no longer writes settings to the registry but to a local INI file, so it doesn't require the launcher any more
Ahh, my mistake, I didn't look for the settings themselves.
I assumed the registry keys contained them, they're just empty keys now.

Because it's made portable via ThinApp doesn't necessarily mean it isn't directly from them. Wink True True. That it doesn't have a "created with Thinstall/Thinapp" logo upon starting. is made up of several executables and folders and doesn't save it's settings to a thinstall folder prett...

Perhaps it's made portable with ThinApp. Can you send them an email if it's possible to save the settings? Nah, this is the official Starburn Portable. It's great as long as you like your portable applications to save their settings in the registry. It's kinda funny finding the key "StarBurnSh...

I hate to ruin the discussion but I can't think of any biological =) names for this usable or otherwise.

fpelletier had a good idea though.
Why not
3* Portable
2* Portable
and
1* Portable.

Everybody understands the star system the more stars the more portable.

I like simplicity :P

This new release doesn't save registry keys?
Foxit or the launcher?

Foxit most certainly does.

This definitely looks powerful but it seems to take a lot of getting used to. I took one look and almost cried. :( For all the writing and examples of what it can do though it seems to do no more than BRU and with less ease. Would there be a point to start using this instead? From the authors write ...

It won't work. You won't force the creators of portable apps to add info that their software is lower quality. "Is it portable? It is." Damn, that's that emotion thing again. As I said logically it made sense, I never thought about hurting anyones feelings :P Are we talking about on this ...

This has been an interesting post so far but I want to turn it all on its head now. Why are we discussing what to call natively portable apps? To me it would make a lot more sense to call these apps portable and the "non-stealth" as it is now impolite/unclean/dirty/ or even trace-leaving j...
