Re: Don'tSleep Hibernate @ 10:30pm ?

With Shutter Lite, you do not need to touch config files, you can do it all in the app.

Re: Don'tSleep Hibernate @ 10:30pm ?

Haven't used Don't Sleep, but I've used Shutter Lite in the past to schedule a PC to go to sleep. Give that a shot and see if that works for you.

Re: Basilisk web browser

Basilisk is no longer developed by the Pale Moon team. It is now developed by a team of developers independent from the Pale Moon project. Here's the announcement from the new Basilisk dev - https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=28657. I used to follow all these weird Firefox offshoot...

Try CDmage and see if that works for you. cdrtfe looks like it might work as well.

Re: Tangara Portable Media Player (FLOSH!)

I still have an older Sansa Fuze with Rockbox on it. If you are able to find a Rockbox-compatible device, I'd say try that out.

Re: VUPlayer

I sort my audio files by folders, too (one album = one folder, with one big ' _Misc ' with sub-dirs for random files), but as I do most of my listening on Android now, I have to use other options... 1by1 exists on Android. Try that out! It's barebones like Windows 1by1, but it does the job. Might b...

Re: VUPlayer

Just discovered this audio player. Better late than never as they say! To make VUPlayer portable, launch with the "-portable" command line flag. As zorro mentioned, this player highly resembles 1by1 with its directory tree and album artwork sidebar. Going to review this against 1by1 since ...

Re: Lite & Lite-XL & Pragtical (LUA-based text editors)

Memory-wise, I've found Pragtical to use an additional 10MB RAM compared to Lite XL. Only did brief tests with loading one file for editing after startup.

Re: Lite & Lite-XL (LUA-based text editors)

Progress of lite-xl seems to a bit on the slow side, so ... a fork of a fork: Pragtical Compared to lite-xl (around 5.5mb ) the Pragtical folder will be 4+ times larger at 23.5mb but still light and feels as snappy as lite-xl. Most of the new filesize can be attributed to a 12MB font file: https://...

Re: LocalSend - Local file transfer between devices

I've found that all these local LAN transfer apps require that you set the internet connection for Windows from Public Network to Private Network. Give that a shot. This isn't really noted in other documentation, but it's what I found from trial and error.

Re: fmedia - media player/recorder/converter

I was just made aware of fmedia through the Tiny Audio Players thread . GUI reminds me of foobar2000. I will give this a try and see if there's room in my lineup for yet another audio player :) Update: Quick review. Wow, this player doesn't use any CPU whatsoever. Low memory usage. Less than 3MB RAM...
