maintenance time?

Andrew, Has maintenance time increased, decreased, or stayed about the same with the additions of the forum? Decrease in direct e-mail to you? Any tips on it running smoothly? I noticed the updates forum hasn't been used much yet, but it's probably a great idea there. (I just haven't found anything,...

Re: back on topic again

Well I've struck out on email clients. Are you adamant about not using Thunderbird? Well, in fairness, I've never used it but I have concerns that it will still end up being slow with lot's of features that I don't use. I totally agree. I think that's one of the best recommendations I've seen this week.

Re: WikidPad

I'm going to suggest this one. I haven't tested it out very much, but it's open source. It's pretty impressive. If you're into GTD and/or using a Wiki, it's rather neat. http://www.jhorman.org/wikidPad Darn, I can't get it to work off of my flash drive. and load/use data from there. If anyone else ...

Closer inspection reveals that this program is written in Java, which is a major bummer since that means that it has a dependancy on the not-so-small Java Virtual Machine. I don't think this really counts as portable but thanks all the same. I've been toying with good ol' Briefcase. Also, any kind ...

These are some great recommendations. How about a portable linux install that's tailored for developers? I'm a C++ developer and need to be able to take a good development environment with me. I usually use Visual Studio, and I know I won't be able to take that with me, but something similar would b...
