Re: Acute Batch Image Processor Lite

Update here: you can either

* Create ABIP.ini in the local folder
* Move the ABIP.ini file from the appdata location mentioned above to the local application folder

... and it works fine.

Moving to Submission.

Re: Mouse Hunter

Update v1.74 came out a few months ago. One thing not mentioned in this thread is the ability to control horizontal scrolling by holding CTRL (as well as some other options). I've been working with a lot of whiteboard programs that this would really hep with.

Re: PNGoo: lossy PNG image compression front-end w/ alpha

A lot of tools have been mentioned in this thread, but the title program (PngQuant) is a CLI compressor that appears to still be in development with a release back in May: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kornelski/pngquant/master/CHANGELOG - free for non-commercial use. Re: uGet [download manager]

No software update here, but I got a chance to test this out today to run a simple backup for one of my machines -- worked perfectly. Definitely putting this on the list of stuff to add to the DB. I forgot how much I missed the old Free Download Manager. Resources: Low CPU usage, 13 megs RAM, 36 meg...

Re: Firewall App blocker (Fab)

I'm plenty happy with FAB, but did want to point to an alternative just in case it's not quite what someone's looking for: Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to have a home page so ... It's no longer in development
Update here: the program does appear to still be seeing updates, but not seeing much activity on the github page: https://github.com/x1y9/justmd/releases so I'm not sure if these are just maintenance releases or what.

Re: Fopnu (filesharing program)

I got a chance to test this out recently and was very pleased. Found a good selection, fast connections, and very snappy interface, which is in itself an accomplishment for file sharing programs. Steps : Download the portable zip archive, unzip, and launch. Tested v1.55 Status : Portable, writes set...

GigaTribe - friend-to-friend file sharing

A very simple (commercial) version of RetroShare , a "peer-to-peer" service that really just lets you connect with to connect with people you know. No file size limitations. Might work great for people who just want to set it and forget it to share large files online. I didn't get very far into test...

Re: MultiImageDownloader

Image Downloader After a program update, I tested this one out and it looks like everything Napiophelios said is still accurate. A dead simple image downloader program that grabs everything off a standard image search. Seemed to have issues with some 3-word phrases I tested and not others. Includes...

Re: CHK Hash Tool

Very nice -- coming up on a decade in development. Very nice to see tools like this. I'm seeing there's a way to save hash lists -- is there any way to have the program check the contents of that list of hashes? So for example I've got a bunch of files on an old DVD, can I run a list of hash values ...

Arachnophilia (with Java Portable Launcher)

A basic open source HTML editor with unique interface, but some nice features. It's been in development for a lot of years and admittedly has slowed over the past few, but still has something to offer if you want to get your hands on the code, where a lot of modern tools insist on "helping" you. htt...
