Re: Firewall App blocker (Fab)

Just a note here that it's possible to block ALL EXE files in batch/recursively inside a given folder. I did this recently for a group of old programs that I didn't want to connect to the Internet.

I believe AnyDesk has gone payware and I'm ready to move the topic to the appropriate forum -- let me know if you disagree.
Softpedia appears to corroborate that idea so yeah, I'm comfortable with that.

Very interesting, thanks for posting. I can see this being extremely useful for developers and testing.

Re: Sandboxie becomes free

sandboxie is not even working for me now. Do you guys know any good alternatives? I've had a lot of luck with Win10's own built-in Sandbox. It doesn't have anti-virus and it doesn't restrict network access but that's not hard to enable at startup. I've been very pleased that I can run an environmen...

A couple of options for cropping PDF files, none of which is perfect for all needs, and all are awkward, to say the least.
Thanks for the info -- since we're posting to this thread, how do those compare to the PDFArranger?

Status : Portable , writes to local folder in tweakeze.stg Several functions are only available to "badge-holders", which is to say people who have donated. I didn't really get much out of the watcher function that I was interested in, but there were some interesting script export tools. File detai...

Considering Softpedia is listing it as portable, has anyone confirmed it?
I've added it to my list of stuff to test. Just based on my current cycle, I should get to it in the next week or two. Can bump that up if needed.

Still in development at version 14.8.6.0

Softpedia is reporting it as freemium, but the site also adds a "for personal use only" caveat.

Re: Stretchly reminder program [Electron-based]

It appears to me functionally portable in terms of usability. We do like "no-install" programs here (I have a few that I run on my computer as we speak), but we try to reserve stuff for entry into the database based on whether or not you have to re-enter your settings each time. And that's not a qu...

Re: O&O ShutUp10 - better privacy for Windows 10 users.

No they are literally the settings of the program, it's how the program works, it checks your registry to see if there were changes since the last time you ran the program and cross-checks that with the .cfg file with your settings, if they differ it will ask you if you want to change the registry ...

Re: QText

No recent updates (since 2019) but the changelog lists a portable version (https://www.medo64.com/qtext/history/), which I guess means the "zipped version". Unfortunately in my tests, it's still not writing all settings to the local folder. Still not portable.
