This software is not portable: all paths are absolute and have to be normalized. Moreover the resume is not supported moving the program. Maybe is better to signal the portable version of winpenpack developers (it works) http://www.winpenpack.com/main/download.php?view.1253

Here is the portable version: |
BitComet is a manager for web, FTP and BitTorrent downloads supporting simultaneous connections, file queue, selected torrent package contents, fast-resume, chatting, disk cache, speed limits, port mapping, proxy, IP filter etc.
The download includes both 32 and 64-bit versions.

Tixati 2.76 released. |
qBittorrent is a configurable and feature-rich file sharing client modeled as an open alternative to µTorrent. The program includes a web interface, RSS, scheduler, IP Filtering (eMule and PeerGuardian compatible), IPv6 compliance, support for all extensions (DHT, Peer Exchange, crypto, Magnet/BitComet etc.), and more. Uniquely, it includes a program lock to password-protect the interface.
The program includes torrent creation and even tracker capabilities for serving content. Note that the torrent search feature (if enabled) is not portable.
Clients are also available for other platforms (Mac, Linux, FreeBSD, OS/2) and in ~25 world languages. Alternatively, a PortableApps version is also available.

@thepiney: Same here. I've used magnet links no problem. The only time I've had errors is when the program loses access to the downloaded torrent files while it's still trying to share them (if you deleted or moved the downloaded files without deleting the torrent file). I moved from uTorrent because they started adding advertising, but there are settings tweaks to remove it.

Qbittorrent does not support Windows XP and Vista anymore from v.4.2.0, though 'portableapps' seems not aware of that.

Advanced Onion Router is designed to bypass various barriers with a secure, anonymous Internet connection. The program attempts to circumvent firewalls, website censorship, web tracking tools and more. Allows user of almost any application that connects to the Internet. Unlike similar clients that require a configurable proxy, AdvOR is able to "force" a program to use the Tor network.
Note that the Tor site recommends against using the service for Torrent connections.
Note: Instructions for making Tor editions of Opera, Firefox, and Chat are included in the "Help" directory.

Well, I still have that problem. The GUI doesn't load on my PC: Windows 8.1 x64

Quick correction: I was using the x86 version, because I want compatibility. It seems like the 86-bit version is not updated. Halite.exe still is v0.4.3

QtWeb is a web browser focused on strong privacy and a clean environment. While running, no traces are left on the host machine while browsing and none are left behind after a browser "reset" in the privacy menu. All toolbars, including navigation bar, can be turned off or docked anywhere, and even moved outside the main browsing window. Includes built-in support for Torrent downloads and ad-blocking functionality can be easily enabled.
Based on Qt framework and Apple's WebKit rendering engine (also used by Apple Safari).
Security note: development of this browser appears to have stalled and the software may be subject to security vulnerabilities.

I was worried that QtWeb was as dead as K-meleon. It hadn't been updated in more than a year. Thankfully, I was wrong.

I adjusted the entry for the fact that Qt is now a publicly traded company, no longer owned by Digia. (Funnily enough, it's traded in Nasdaq Helsinki, of all stock exchanges...) |
