Greenfish Icon Editor Pro is a tool for creating icons, animated or static cursors and other small images. Can extract icons and cursors from executable files and icon libraries, batch convert image files to icons or other image formats and supports advanced selection handling (marquee, lasso and wand tools, saving/loading selections from files). Offers various gradient styles for filling shapes, and includes many filters such as remove matte, drop shadow, inner/outer glow and bevel etc.
The program opens and saves in ICO, CUR, ANI, PNG, XPM, BMP, JPEG, WebP and TGA formats and creates icons and cursors up to 256x256 @ 32-bit, which can also be PNG-compressed for use in Vista and above.
Include Greenfish Image Converter (for processing TIFF and SVG files), which requires .NET Framework 3.5.
A 64-bit version is available (within the folder). Alternatively, a PortableApps version is also available: Greenfish Icon Editor Pro Portable.

When you click the download link, a page opens with the download, just un-check the "Use our download manager and get recommended downloads" box. You'll get the zip file that you want. My Avast keeps blocking the site/file so I just disabled. After download I checked using VirusTotal and comes up clean.

WinCompose allows the insertion of special characters such as é ž à Û ø ¤ « ¿ ® ™ using short and often very intuitive key combinations. For instance, ö is obtained using o + " and ™ is obtained using T + M.
The program is based on the well known Unix compose key and WinCompose ships with more than 2,000 compose rules.
Note: Versions 0.7.0 and up require the .NET Framework. Download link for the last non-.NET version is at v0.6.13 (direct download)

i like it but i wish it was easier to search for say symbols like dollar signs, ampersands etc and keep all the alphabet letter variations separate. Also, should be able to have a "favorites" tab that the user adds the best ones to.

webfork yes I did thank some time before I posted this, its not something I do often but this App really helped me and made it very easy to do what I was trying to do. Before using WinCompose it was a real nightmare to do things I wanted and most often I failed. So once again thanks for the hard work on this great useful software. ^5 |
Eraser is a feature-rich tool to permanently delete sensitive data from your hard drive by overwriting it with random patterns. Includes a scheduler, free-space wipe, random number generation for better overwriting, page file wipe at shutdown, password-protected settings, and more. The program includes a wide variety of wiping mechanisms from very fast (only deleting the first and last 2kb) to extraordinarily slow (35-pass). Note that all but the most security-minded users should only need only the 1-pass "pseudo-random" wipe.
Alternatively, Eraser Portable is a PortableApps version.
Note: The 5.x branch is no longer supported. There is a 6.x branch available, but there is no official portable version for this branch and it requires the .NET framework.

Do not erase sparse, compressed or encrypted files when FL2KB erasure is selected to prevent disk corruption. Fix Win32 Eraser builds to be truly Unicode builds. A few 64-bit fixes. Ensure that Eraser uses the latest runtimes packaged with the installer. This should fix hangs when using the Context menu. Fixed the About dialog after migrating to Unicode Sign all binaries packaged with the installer Allow erasing UNC paths Fixed memory exhaustion when doing a free space erase for FAT drives Migrate non-Unicode custom erasure methods to the Unicode methods so that old custom erasure methods are preserved upon upgrade Ensure that Eraser is not running when the Eraser setup is run |
