"If you are looking for SE-Explorer, SE-DesktopApps, etc., then we want to inform you that at present we've stopped the development." from web site.

@PAFuser: it's unfortunate what some people think is obsolete. There are a whole lot of very old programs on my machine that still do a way better job than available alternatives.

PAFuser on 2017-06-29 19:30

I do not disagree, I still use Excel 2003, and it took some work to get it to work correctly on Windows 10 - 64 bit. If program is all you need and works, great. SE-Explorer zip contains SE-MediaPlayer, does not work. Context menu limited to SE-Explorer list, unlike FreeCommanderXE, etc. which include context items added to Windows menu. Future development might have changed this.

Created PDF with Table, and end product resulted in far right of table not shown on PDF even though I justified it to center.

@Checker: fair enough, let the discrepancy between releases stand... :)

This is the fastest PDF viewer. Awesome for high graphics magagine kind of PDFs. I have a lower mid range laptop. Universal viewer throws sumatra, pdfxcange, foxit out of water when it comes to speed of loading one after another high graphics page. And it's the lightest of all the PDF viewers I have tested, uses minimal CPU unlike others I have mentioned.

ripu on 2015-12-24 06:46

Ignore my previous comment. I am an idiot. It actually uses an old version of Sumatra, which was faster and lighter.

NW Docx Converter (formerly Docx2Rtf) is a feature-rich file conversion and PDF tool set. The program can convert from a variety of formats including Word 2007-format DOCX/DOTX to RTF or PDF format. Also leaves C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Application Data\NwDocx\document.xml and document.xml.rels that contain all of the information in the last document opened !!!!! This is NOT nice !!!!!

webfork on 2012-03-19 02:26

Neutron: True -- newer versions started writing files to AppData. The empty file trick should fix that.

webfork on 2013-02-16 00:15

Comment: viewing quality of several DOC and DOCX format files was fairly simple. Both LibreOffice and AbiWord seemed like better converters, although this would be great for getting at the document's core text.
