Happy Holidays To You All :)
Just wondering...Do any of you fine folks have the Palemoon Portable Browser v28 installed on a Vista Home Premium 32-bit OS?
Well, if you do, would you please tell me how? I've DL'ed a couple of v28's and installed them and they wouldn't launch.
To my knowledge of what I've been reading, Palemoon v28+ is for Windows 7+.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pale_Moon_%28web_browser%29

Please tell me your tips & tricks so I can go back to using Palemoon. Thanks so much.

Take care.

@Happy.Camper2 - You can probably use New Moon by Roy Tam. Check the MSFN forums for a link.

Pale Moon has become my default and favorite browser. It is laid out for the convenience of users rather than being handicapped to keep up with the latest in look, touch and feel that kills productivity. Pale Moon is for those that want to get work done, with as little time as possible lost to the eternal quest to locate moved, missing or deleted features that are too common in other browsers at every update. As for all browsers, sometimes pages are not rendered correctly and if so, I just jump briefly to a different browser - but I always end up returning to Pale Moon. In recent years the collection of Pale Moon-specific add-ons has increased dramatically, making it a fine substitute for Firefox.

PasswordFox v1.70 Updated

billon on 17 Dec 2020
  • 497KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 17 Dec 2020
  • Suggested by JohnW

PasswordFox is a small password recovery tool that allows you to view user names and passwords stored by the Mozilla Firefox Web browser. By default, PasswordFox displays the passwords stored in your current profile, but you can easily look at the passwords of any other Firefox profile. For each password entry, the following information is displayed: Record Index, Web Site, User Name, Password, User Name Field, Password Field and the Signons filename.

If a "master" password has been set, this must be entered before information can be viewed.

A 64-bit version is available (for use with Firefox 64-bit and Waterfox).

Category:
Runs on:Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8 / Win10
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes
Unicode support: Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch PasswordFox.exe.

  • Added new file type to save the passwords list: 'Firefox import/export csv file'. When you save the passwords in this file type, you can use the import feature of Firefox to import the saved passwords into Firefox: Import login data from a file.
    • In order to save the passwords as 'Firefox import/export csv file', simply select the items you want to save (or press Ctrl+A to select all passwords), press Ctrl+S (Save Selected Items), choose 'Firefox import/export csv file' from the file type combo-box, type the filename to save and then click the 'Save' button to save the file.

This has been flagged as malware by AVG and other programs.

AdrianK_IT on 2012-05-05 13:30

This is one of the NirSoft utilities, and trustworthy. It is flagged as malware as it clearly can be used for malicious reasons ie extract passwords for nefarious purposes. However, it can also be used for good reasons ie extract passwords for recovery purposes etc!
I have learnt to temporarily disable 'real time protection' in AV software when downloading/moving/using these utilities.
I also use them as a simple test of AV software effectiveness; if it doesn't pick up these utilities as potentially malicious, then the AV software is clearly useless!

anyone got this working together with firefox portable? i read that it is possible when pointing to the profile folder but it just fails here.

LiveTcpUdpWatch's "readme.txt" includes a noteworthy discussion about the fine points
of three similar, yet subtly distinct tools :

• CurrPorts
• NetworkTrafficView
• LiveTcpUdpWatch

__philippe on 2019-01-10 10:37

LiveTcpUdpWatch v1.12
Handy network traffic analysis tool, finely honing with age, merely lacking :

• "Remote Hostname" column, to pair with existing "Remote (IP) Address"
•  ICMP protocol capture capability

Would Nir oblige? Stay tuned till next episode...;-)

Woked fine on my USB storage drive-Hallers version at portable apps better, cleans up itself, slick program.

@rodger123: This "worse" version only leaves files in Internet Explorer's cache. IMHO, the overhead caused by PortableApps.com Launcher is not worth it.

Special on 2020-12-15 23:43

Might be worth staying on the previous release if you have a Samsung SSD like the very popular EVO. Why wouldn't you want to have the health the % available???
