Nirsoft is the best, this software gives a great view of what's happening on wireless networks. The number of apps from Nirsoft I use on a daily basis makes my computing a whole lot faster and much easier. Keep up the great work Nirsoft. |

qBittorrent is a file sharing client modeled as an open alternative to µTorrent. It includes a torrent search engine, support for all extensions (DHT, Peer Exchange, crypto, Magnet/BitComet etc.), web interface, RSS, scheduler, IP Filtering (eMule and PeerGuardian compatible), IPv6 compliance and more. Uniquely, it includes a program lock to password-protect the interface.
The program includes torrent creation and even tracker capabilities (for serving content).
Clients are also available for other platforms (Mac, Linux, FreeBSD, OS/2) and in ~25 world languages. Alternatively, a PortableApps version is also available.

@thepiney: Same here. I've used magnet links no problem. The only time I've had errors is when the program loses access to the downloaded torrent files while it's still trying to share them (if you deleted or moved the downloaded files without deleting the torrent file). I moved from uTorrent because they started adding advertising, but there are settings tweaks to remove it.

Qbittorrent does not support Windows XP and Vista anymore from v.4.2.0, though 'portableapps' seems not aware of that.

Hi, from the changelog of qbittorrent 4.2.1: (not the portableapps.com version) |
RapidCRC Unicode is a hashing program capable of checking and verifying the integrity of files, folders, or whole drives. The program includes process priority, ability to pause/resume analysis, job queuing, easily copy hashes to the clipboard and multi-threaded checks. If using checksum files (e.g. .sfv or .md5) for future verification, options include the ability to generate for every analyzed file, directory, or a single checksum with all hash data.
Includes direct support for CRC hashing in the filename (common for anime releases) for example: "MyFile [45DEF3A0].avi") Other algorithms range from fast to secure, including SFV(CRC32), MD5, ED2K, SHA-1/256/512 and Blake2sp.
Based on the original RapidCRC but updated with extended Unicode support.

This is currently my go-to program. I tend to add it to the "send to" menu on machines I'm currently using and it works beautifully to check one or more files. Also, the ability to insert the hash directly into the file name makes so much sense. Just drag-and-drop it into the window and instantly know if there's a problem. Great solution to the multi-step check.

I think there is something wrong with the "CRC into Filename" function. This occurs with files that lack a file extension.
