RetroShare is a feature-rich communications platform for small groups of users with a focus on privacy. The program includes an exclusive and secure toolset for instant messaging, chat rooms, forums, direct messages (e-mail), file server, VoIP, channels for distributing content and link exchange. It functions as an open, distributed alternative to many commercial groupware programs.
Additional features include RSS feed reader, status messages (away/busy), different modes for low traffic, transfer and disk space limits, plugins, skins and much more. Cross-platform (Mac, Linux, BSD).
Great for small businesses, groups, and a safer alternative to most file sharing methods. Networks can be small or large, but communications between users are limited by default to friends and friends-of-friends, with more specific controls available.

@ozziguy: Looks like they're still offering the portable 7zip version, and it's 20% smaller. I'll go ahead and list both. Thanks for the note. |

I agree with User2100. This is a very fast launching player with a very small footprint, but the lack of a time slider is a big issue. |
Simple x264/x265 Launcher is a video encoder with a variety of configurations and preset templates. Includes full batch encoding support, as well as running several encoding jobs in parallel.
The program is a lightweight front-end for the x264 H.264/AVC as well as the x265 H.265/HEVC encoder, based on the Qt toolkit. The program also uses the 64-Bit version of x264 with the 32-Bit version of Avisynth, which lets you use 32-Bit Avisynth plug-ins (e.g. DGDecodeNV) and still benefit from the speed improvements of 64-Bit x264.

@jenss: don't think so, it's still available if you click "enter website" link in the bottom right corner -- the landing page is a form of war protest by the web owner. |
YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer) can be used to create a multi-boot USB flash drive containing multiple operating systems, antivirus utilities, disc cloning, diagnostic tools and more. Aside from a few distributions, all files are stored within the Multiboot folder, making for a nicely organized Multiboot Drive that can still be used for other storage purposes. YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on the USB device and reverts to using grub to Boot Multiple ISO files from USB, if necessary.
YUMI works much like Universal USB Installer, except it can be used to install more than one distribution to run from your USB. Distributions can also be uninstalled.

Looks like the project is closed. Anyone know a decent alternative (small size, multiple translation services, handy pop-up translation...)?

I registered just to comment this. Should one use tftpd instead? The term is searchable though it seems very generic, in case this URL isn't allowed: https://pjo2.github.io/tftpd64/ |

MicroSIP allows high quality VoIP calls via the open Session Initiation Protocol to other SIP-compatible phones or regular telephones. The program is easy to configure and light on system resources and supports video, instant messaging, secure connections (via client-to-client TLS encryption) and standards compatibility.
This SIP softphone is based on the Windows PJSIP stack. For regular phones, the program requires an account with a (non-free) SIP Provider.

I can't get this software to work at all. Have reverted to PhonerLite, which has a clumsy interface but works OK. I like the neat gui for MicroSIP, but can't make outgoing calls at all, getting a 'connection timeout' message; and after answering an incoming call, can neither hear or be heard by caller.
