HashMyFiles is a small utility that allows you to generate unique file identifiers (hashes) using a variety of popular checks. These can help determine if a file has been modified or corrupted, as well as help determine the file's reputation by submitting to the VirusTotal database for malware analysis.
Formats supported range form fast to secure with CRC32, MD5, SHA1/-256/-512/-384. The various hashing information can be saved to a report (text/HTML/XML/CSV/TSV) that includes name, path, dates, file size, version and other info.

Blows my mind how stagnate NirSoft's programs become, HashMyFiles still doesn't have a way to "Delete files to Recycle Bin" or similar. And all his programs are still plagued with DPI/multi-monitor issues years after reporting about them.

Nirsoft is the best, this software gives a great view of what's happening on wireless networks. The number of apps from Nirsoft I use on a daily basis makes my computing a whole lot faster and much easier. Keep up the great work Nirsoft. |
OSFMount is a collection of virtual drive tools that allows mounting local disk image files as a drive letter, RAM disks and mounting CD or DVD images (for simplicity or speed). Supported image types include IMG, DD, ISO, BIN, NRG, SDI, AFF, AFM, AFD, VMDK (used by VMware), VHD (Virtual PC) and more.
The program is ideal for machines without a CD/DVD drive and, as most images are bit-for-bit copies of disk partitions, many programs will treat them as the real thing, enabling programs that require a program disc. For disk images, the program can give access to these files without booting or other required visualization software. RAM disks have a variety of uses including high speed caches, programs with frequent/intense disk reads/writes and some database applications.
Command line tools are also included.
Note: The developer warns: "it is recommended that 64-bit Windows is used when large disk image files are to be mounted."

@Midas CDmage works like a charm unlike PassMark OSFMount despite "being ancient". Nothing ancient about it. PassMark OSFMount couldn't detect my image file properly as @freakazoid experienced. In fact very few free portable mount tools could handle my image file properly. I'm surprised you don't use CDmage to mount......

I tried to mount a .bin/.cue combination with OSFMount last night and it froze completely. Used up 30% of the CPU and disk I/O used up 1GB/sec. Windows Explorer wouldn't load as well. Had to do a hard restart to fix the problem. |
