I have no idea why the "GUI version without installer" has the .man extension, but it's only a simple archive and can be extracted with 7zip or UniversalExtractor. So "How to extract" field is still displaying correct information.

DevManView is an alternative to the standard Windows Device Manager. It displays all devices and their properties in a flat table, instead of a hierarchical treeview. In addition to displaying the devices of your local computer, DevManView also lets you view the device list of another computer on your network, as long as you have administrator access rights to that computer.
DevManView can also load the devices list from external instance of Windows and disable unwanted devices. This feature can be useful if you have trouble starting Windows on a particular machine and you need to disable a problematic device.

I'm guessing you downloaded the source code zip file. If you click on the download link and go to the bottom of RC2 area, just above 2.0.0 RC1 you'll see "Assets", click on that and then the top download "UniExtractRC2.zip". |
RegScanner scans the Windows registry for values that match a specific search criteria and displays them in one single list for editing and viewing. No longer do you have to press F3 indefinitely to locate the right value. The list can also be exported into a .REG file that can be used in RegEdit.

In spite of the adware issues, I think this is the easiest-to-use and to setup CPU temperature application. It's on all my PCs and I've never had a problem with it. Just set it and forget it. The digital temperature display in the system tray is very visible and useful when resource-heavy apps are running. I'm surprised this isn't rated higher. |

AdvancedRun allows you to run a program with different settings that you choose, including - low or high priority, start directory, main window state (Minimized/Maximized), run the program with different user or permissions, Operating system compatibility settings and environment variables.
You can also save the desired settings into a configuration file and then run the program automatically from command-line with the desired settings.

ESEDatabaseView reads and displays the data stored inside a database used by a variety of Microsoft programs known as Extensible Storage Engine (ESE) database (aka Jet Blue or a .edb file). It displays a list of all tables available in the opened database file, allows you to choose the desired table to view, and then when you choose a table, it displays all records found in the selected table.
The program also allows you to easily choose one or more records, and then export them into a variety of formats including CSV, HTML and XML, or copy and then paste them into a spreadsheet program.

WebBrowserPassView is a password recovery tool that reveals the passwords stored by Internet Explorer, Firefox-based and Chromium-based Web browsers. This tool can be used to recover your lost/forgotten password of any website, including popular Web sites, like Facebook, Yahoo, Google, and GMail, as long as the password is stored by your Web Browser.
Currently, WebBrowserPassView cannot retrieve the passwords if they are encrypted with a master password.
To work with Chrome and Opera portable versions, go to 'options' and set the location of the portable browser folder. Select the user data folder in Chrome, and wand.dat for Opera. (Thanks to user "deer".)

Audacity is an outstanding audio recorder and editor. I have used it for a broad range of tasks, from modifying/improving music files to editing video audio tracks and for recording audio tracks than inserted into to video files. It has always been dependable, and is as simple or sophisticated as needed. |
Autoruns shows programs that run during system bootup or login, as well as entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce and other Registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell extensions, toolbars, browser helper objects, Winlogon notifications, auto-start services and much more. Autoruns goes way beyond the MSConfig utility.
A 64-bit version is available (within the folder).
Alternatively, Autoruns Portable is stealth and will only show the EULA once.

Though v. 13.93 is available here, at Portable Freeware, the MS site only has v. 13.91 . Is this version again being recalled by MS? |
CarotDAV is a simple client for many remote file storage services including AmazonCloudDrive, Box, DropBox, GoogleDrive, HubiC, iCloud Drive, OneDrive, OpenStack Swift, SugarSync and as well as WebDAV, FTP and IMAP. Supports various view settings including detail, small/large icons, drag-and-drop interface, file transfer progress window (with speed listings) and a variety of sorting and grouping options. Allows for multiple instances to connect to multiple different services, but doesn't yet support transfers between them.
Includes dynamic encryption and decryption, automatic file-splitting (e.g. OneDrive's 25 MB file size limit) and doesn't store passwords in plain text if a master password is set.

@BGM: Yeah that would be a big help for me as well. I'm very confused about the material differences between the two services. Lord knows there's no real difference between free and paid versions of every other cloud storage service.

I only use this program once every 2 years but I'm SO glad I have it. I don't know of a similar program for other operating systems. |
