Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier v5.2

Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier allows you to copy files from disks and CDs with problems such as bad sectors, scratches or that just give errors when reading data. I just discovered that despite what I said earlier, you can copy a single file. This is a must-have utility for rescuing DVD's with CRC errors, among other things.

One note: Fixing those CRC errors slows this program way down, so you might want to run it overnight on bad DVD's.

Way more informative than the standard copy. For a 20 GB file copied over a slow USB 1.0 - 12 mbps connection, a simple progress bar won't do. Microslop should take note.

^ My external hd is 3 years old, dunno why WD would use USB 1.0/1.1 instead of 2.0 !!

File Replicator v1.2.1

webfork on 25 Feb 2019
  • 566KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 14 Feb 2010
  • Suggested by joby_toss

File Replicator is a batch file search-and-replace that lets you modify all instances of a file in a destination directory or drive without having to manually search. For example, if 7-zip.exe is a component of many programs in your portable collection, you can enable the latest-and-greatest version added to all of them. Simply select the destination to search (e.g. USB drive letter) and the file you wish to replace. From there it will search the drive and show a list of successful files found and ask if you wish to overwrite.

Runs on: WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8 / Win10

  • Made several changes to how version information is interpreted and displayed.

Advanced LAN Pump v2.32

Checker on 3 Aug 2014

Advanced LAN Pump lets you send files over the network with pause/restart options, automatic error recovery, even a queue for sending a list of files. Great for copying lots of data, particularly over WiFi networks, where the standard Windows copy function is just not robust enough to deal with intermittent network interference and failures.

Note: This program has gone payware. Last available freeware version available via the download link.

Runs on: Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / Win2K / WinXP
Writes settings to: Windows registry. But given the nature of the application, I think it can be accepted as portable.
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch alp.exe.

serginh0, I agree with you- KillCopy is a great app! I wouldn't want it to be completely portable though. It attaches itself to the right click context menu which is its greatest asset. That allows it to NOT run in memory like the others on this site.

I have found it available in version 2.31 at

The homepage is now, but at almost $40 for the current version (3.1), it's DEFINITELY not freeware anymore!
