SyMenu is a customizeable menu launcher that allows to organize and find your portable applications in a quick and easy way. Moreover, it can automatically link any application residing on host PC. Any linked item (SyItem) can be organized in a hierarchical structure with colorful folders and found with the internal search tool. The Standard for Portable Software (SPS) allows to install, update and remove the programs available in the SyMenu suites automatically, see more in Manual.

As the last comment is nearly four years old, I think it's needless to mention that SyMenu actually supports Windows 10. In my case the application even reached the "autostart-status", which is really a coronation for an app. Furthermore, since eight months I am contributing to the large Program Suite as SPS-Publisher. During this time I made the experience of a respectful athmosphere under the people behind SyMenu, which I could talk to so far. Except the developer of course, keep away from this crazy guy...btw hello Gian my friend and greetings to Italy ;-) So, all-in-all in my personal opinion this application is really worth a try and I'm sure it even get's better from day to day! |
Personal Video Database lets you catalog your movie or DVD collection. It automatically retrieves movie details from online resources. You can also load a cover image from Amazon, or load covers/screenshots from disk. The program includes filtering and grouping options as well as an advanced search feature to make it easy to find a specific movie. Other features include loan management, support for local video files, personal ratings, bookmarks, import/export, library statistics etc.

A great Video Cataloguer, let down only for the lack of documentation and online support. Have more than 400 DVDs and tried both the apps in this category, stayed with PVD. Nimble and quick, doesn´t have all the importers that AMC has, but makes finding blanks and editing a breeze. Recomended.

Una base de datos para películas muy buena, sobre todo, la posibilidad de importar los datos y carátulas de páginas web. |
AM-Notebook is provides a way to store notes (rich text), formula-supported spreadsheets, to do lists, tasks, and calendar with alarm. The program works via a simple system tray utility, includes spellcheck and tabbed view.
Note: The "Lite" version is missing some features available only in the "Pro" version, including address book, encryption and global search.

The version I downloaded "AM-Notebook 5.0.1" dated "08-Apr-2008" allows for the installation of the lite version on a USB-Stick ...nice app but I'll stick with TreeDBNotes Pro (http://www.mytreedb.com/) since I already paid for it ...AM-Note need the spell-checker loaded on the local machine ..which isn't cool with me (-;

I've been using version 4.13 for awhile. Love the program. It got even better w/ v5.01. Added Contacts, Calendar, and ToDo list to the notes. Don't need to Extract as it have an option to install portably on a thumbdrive (although no options to choose a folder).

AM is good, but others you might want to try are Keynote and Totaltext. Both have more features, are portable, and freeware. |
Ahnenblatt is designed to manage your genealogy data and to generate impressive reports and graphical trees. Many import and export features make it easy to share data with others (GEDCOM, HTML and more).
Note that the "Free" version lacks many features of the "Full" shareware version, supporting only basic events and only 1 source and note per person.

Free version is version 2.99n on web site. 3.12 is paid. "n" maybe an update as my current version is "i", from a few months ago. "PortablesApps" version and zip version appear to be the same. |
PreviousFilesRecovery allows you to scan the shadow copies of your local hard drive and find deleted files as well as older versions of existing files. If the file you need is found in the shadow copies of Windows, you can easily recover it by copying it into existing folder on your drive.
