Is it possible to see the history of applications that use the IWebBrowser2 interface of IE/Edge? |
Everything is a powerful search tool that locates files and folders by file name instantly, and includes an FTP and Web server interface. It also can search files by their contents. Unlike Windows search, Everything initially displays all files and folders on your computer. You simply type in part of the desired file name to limit what files and folders are displayed instantly. The more you type, the more specific the list becomes.
Note that the instant-search capability only works on NTFS/ReFS-formatted drives and only uses file and folder names in a file index. The program can separately catalog non-NTFS/ReFS and network servers for searching on a schedule.

This is a great program. I've found very helpful tracking down misplaced or seemingly lost files. |
FreeOffice is a fast and lightweight office suite with word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation tools. The interface supports themes, a dark mode, and classic or ribbon-style toolbars. All components include a wide variety of formatting, functions, and animation.
The program will import and export to standard Microsoft formats with reasonable fidelity. A pro version is also available with additional features (chiefly a 64-bit version), as well as the previous version.
NOTE: The program will eventually require email registration, but a workaround is available.

the correct portable method, according to emails with support is via post install menu, it omits "unneeded" files (but updater files weighting 2mb)

*True portable version (via menu tool), does not contain the registration requirement of "install version"

@aazard - could you move the really long posts to the forum topic. Also, I know there's no edit function but you can delete the old posts and repost with changes. Multiple comments like that are considered spamming. |

The file vlcrc in the 'portable' folder has this entry :

..at least with "native skin" there's no QT-Key left behind - I just checked it. When activating alternative skins, the Key appears but can be handled with a batch or portable starter like gbrao mentioned.

"Download the ZIP-Package" in description is a bit misleading: fuzzing around with the scripted download-button, you won't find a ZIP. At least I didn't find it. |
PDF-XChange Editor is a fast, feature-rich PDF viewer and editor with a tabbed interface. The program includes edition of text-based PDFs, OCR of image based/scanned PDF's to fully text-searchable PDFs, full document spellchecking, rotate/crop documents, add comments/annotations to any PDF file, QR codes and more. You can apply custom stamps from any image/PDF file/Windows clipboard, mark-up pages with text and objects and add/edit hyperlinks.
The program supports export to text or image (BMP/JPEG/TIFF/PNG etc.).
Note: The free PDF-XChange Editor lacks some features present in the registered version (payware). Some "Pro" features can be used, but will add a watermark upon saving.

I had a document with both text and pasted images. While Acrobat Pro kept complaining there was rendered text and wouldn't OCR the available images, PDFXChange got right to it.

The OCR language files for English, Spanish, French, German, Czech, and Finnish now are already in the "Tesseract" folder of the portable zip package, and there is no longer an OCRBaseLangPack.zip download on the OCR language page. The are other languages there, but six mentioned here are already in the base product. |
