@xor I am not sure if I understand you. But, refreshing in general spikes the cpu. If I am at the desktop, without opening any software and start hitting refresh, the cpu will be at 99%.

Usage of Tablacus suits me better than Q-Dir, but it started to suffer that typical 98% CPU wacko thing that chased me away, Q-Dir also continues to be buggy since XP up to Win10 at refreshing the folders tree after deletion, renaming, etc (some times). I'm started to get suited with Double commander although still missing Drag-Select.

What perplexes me about this program is its clandestine development. If one opens its history page:
one will see that "Fix minor bugs" & "Minor changes" prevail but there are no details whatsoever about them.

I really like this small program which has replaced DuoExplorer as my go to file manager. DuoExplorer is a bit buggy, but Tablacus works smoothly and without fuss. I use it as a horizontal two-pane browser which is one of about a dozen display options in addition to the quad-pane mentioned in the listing.

Great for people needing simple tabbed file browsing without the added weight of more fully-featured file managers.
