Beware! Even you don't clean anything, the portable package leaves numerous traces in the system: hard to find registry keys (search also for "Safe Networking Limited") and a stubborn folder in ProgramData plus one in AppData\Roaming (unfortunately I didn't wrote down all the traces before cleaning up).

The entry's description should make clear that what's offered here is the PortableApps package. Upstream Spybot S&D v2.5 ditched XP support, and XP users are advised to stay with v2.4:

Moreover, the upstream download page only lists v2.4 (older versions still available):

Description erroneously says "Launch FirefoxPortable.exe"

I've been using this for almost 6 years, used in conjunction with Spyware blaster and a safe browser and you'll be in pretty good shape. I used to recommend Adaware too, but it has became way too clunky for my needs. Of course now days I seldom use either programs and opt for SandBoxie Portable and Firefox Portable
