v1.2 was an improvement for sure (don't know about 1.3) but this app still needs work in my opinion. The information comes by way of dialog boxes and I think I clicked 12, maybe 15 times to get the tool's details - wouldn't a .pdf file be much easier.

It is freeware, worth the effort, but as has been mentioned, even getting details on the website is a wild-goose-chase.

Follow the link above and look for the aqua colored "Download" button, about half-way down the page.

Btw, I believe the file is a single *.exe - 'system_silencer.exe' - when you run the file, settings are saved to a *.cfg file in the same directory.

1. Freaked out, no - annoyed yes. Who says the latest version will be better - the user should have the option to autoupdate or not. This could be a deal breaker for many users.

2. Seriously, your app, what else! Every other app in the tray when double clicked will open up - yours should also. Instead, you have to right click then scroll to the Show/Hide option - too many steps for a simple function - again, annoying.

5.
...add 'autoupdate' to Options: as a checkbox.
...add ability to left click to Show/Hide app from tray.
...fix XP tray icon bug.
...add a 'Help' menu item that opens the help file located in the local folder. A link to the support forums could also be added as a menu item within the app.
...provide a 'changelog' - updates, new fetures, known bugs etc.

1. That's the autoupdater - I want to make sure users always run the latest version, no need to freak out :P
2. Show/Hide... what? :) The tray icon?
3. I'll add them in the next version (the desktop / taskbar are hidden)
4. That's a minor Windows XP bug. I'll see if I can fix it in a future release.
5. What would make it a 5/5? :D

A few things I don't like already...

...The program wants to connect to the internet every run
...No left click to Show/Hide when running
...No documentation - not everyone may know what Toggle desktop / taskbar icons means
...When run there is no icon visible - see link for pic of taskbar - http://www.kwikpiks.com/files/137/syssilencer.png

Easy to setup - download exe file, when run a .cfg file is created in the same folder. The dev seems open to new features.

Overall - 3 of 5 stars - just my .02's worth :)
