LAN Speed Test (Lite) measures local area network transfer speeds by writing a file of any size to a folder of your choice, then clearing Windows' file cache (otherwise read times would be skewed). Next, it reads the file back, clears the cache again, deletes the file, and finally displays the results.

Runs on:Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8
Writes settings to: None
Stealth: ? Yes
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download LAN_SpeedTest.exe (Free Version) to a folder of your choice and launch.
What's new? Changed:
  • Re-write code in new compiler. This allows for 32 bit and 64 bit Windows, Mac, & Linux executables
  • Optimized testing routines
  • Better High DPI support for Windows 7 & 8 and Mac
  • Help updated with formatted display
  • Ability to choose Network Interface Card for computers with multiple NICs (when testing to LST Server only)
  • Screen Magnification options to make the program window larger on high resolution monitors (via command line /MS0 - /MS9)
  • Log Window - Behind the scenes info for easier troubleshooting, logging, etc.
  • Ability to hit <ESC> anytime to cancel the current test
