TreeSize Free shows you instantly which files or folders are taking up the most space on your harddisk without using heavy system resources or reading the drive extensively.

Alternatively, TreeSize Free Portable is pre-configured to be portable, automatically adjusts paths and is stealth.

MeinPlatz scans the hard disk for lost disk space. Results can be printed using integrated print preview and variable aspect ratio, as well as a small screen magnifier. The results can be exported to XLS, HTML, CSV and TXT.

FilePro is a powerful disk and file management utility. The program can generate disk treemaps for local or network volumes, search and locate files in treemaps by automatic zoom-in and positioning, and includes a directory analysis tools to compare files and/or directories and find duplicates. The program can save entire or partial volume snapshots, compares snapshots against current or past disk states, and examine changes by difference in size or percentage difference.

FolderSize scans a selected drive or folder and reports the size of all the subfolders. The result can be viewed in bytes, percentage of total space or as a bar graph

The program includes feature-rich report generation with a variety of export options and ability to compare how contents have changed between reports.

GetFoldersize allows you to determine the size of folders and sub-folders on your hard drive. Determine which programs are taking up your hard disk space. For each folder, you can display the total file size and the number of files and subfolders in the folder.

SpaceSniffer is a graphical disk use analysis software with available filtering. It can break down display into individual folders and files. Uses a special "Treemap" to display disk use (a concept invented by Prof. Ben Shneiderman).

AutoCompress intelligently compresses/decompresses drive content based on whether the compression will actually save space. For example, JPG and MP3 already have built-in compression, while text and spreadsheets frequently reduce to 50% or less of their original size. The program can also compress based on age or size, scanning all folders recursively under the provided folder (by default c:\).

The program can also disable compression based on the reverse criteria: since files that are already compressed take more processor power to decompress twice, this program can speed up your computer.

This program requires an NTFS-formatted drive.
