@kinki: as noted in the, please post about possible malware issues to the forums. I would also check the download with VirusTotal first. As winLAME is open source and has been in development for 4+ yrs, it's probably a false positive.

CUETools v2.2.5 Updated

Andrew Lee on 1 Jan 2024
  • 9MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 23 Dec 2023
  • Suggested by freakazoid

CUETools helps ensure an album image is preserved accurately by managing lossless audio and CUE sheet format conversion. Since many applications don't keep track of preserving gaps and CUE sheet contents during conversion, or don't support all possible CUE sheet styles, CUETools preserves both with no loss in quality.

CUETools includes CUERipper, an extremely powerful yet easy-to-use CD ripping program, with features like lossless and lossy encoding options, EAC style logs, automatic metadata look-up and AccurateRip verification.

it's not stealth
the last stable version saves files inside AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\CLR Security Config\v2.0.50727.312\64bit\

Specular on 2016-02-13 03:09

The included CUERipper program is utterly superb and should be mentioned in the description I strongly think since it doesn't have enough attention and currently doesn't show up in results (I'll fix that in a sec).

It has an easy to use yet poweruser-friendly interface, produces EAC logs with AccurateRip information, offers Burst/Secure/Paranoid ripping modes (with Burst correctly set by default), allows for image or track rips, verify options and moe.

And one of the main features which solidified my switch: both it and the main CUETools offer a metadata search UI that displays the extended tag info such as Publisher, Barcode, etc. The only ripper I've tried which displays and tags this.

Is LameXP the only audio encoder that can convert opus files?

webfork on 2016-05-20 02:07

I converted something to Opus yesterday with LameXP but TEncoder and TAudioConverter will also do the trick.

neykhax on 2023-06-04 20:10

Lightweight audio encoder, with support for a large number of audio formats and a neat interface. I have been able to optimize hundreds of audio files with a good output quality and without having bugs or complications in the renaming of output file names that other encoders have in the batch convertion of multiple folders.

Pazera Free Audio Extractor v2.11

webfork on 29 Jan 2021
  • 34MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 19 Jan 2021
  • Suggested by jack

Pazera Free Audio Extractor takes the audio from most major video files without loss of sound quality or converts them to a variety of common audio formats. The program can also behave as a simple conversion tool from one audio format to another (e.g. AAC to MP3).

Some supported formats include (audio) MP3, AAC, AC3, WMA, M4A, FLAC, OGG, WAV, ALAC, WavPack, AIFF; (video) AVI, FLV, MP4, MPG, MOV, RM, 3GP, WMV, VOB, MKV, WebM and OGV.

Note: By default, the program will extract/convert to MP3. Select "Try extract original audio stream" to avoid re-encoding, which is faster but may result in a format that some devices can't read. The program has a number of predefined settings (profiles) specially designed for novice users, but you can also customize audio encoding and output parameters.
