To avoid downloading the Mac and Linux components and save a lot of bandwidth, use Free Download Manager's zip preview function http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1364

Dynamic Draw Portable v5.7.1 Updated

Checker on 11 Aug 2014

Dynamic Draw is a vector graphics editor useful for making flowcharts, line drawings, org charts, buttons, etc. It is an object-oriented drawing and design program with an intelligent linking system. It can export to other vector graphics formats such as SVG as well as non-vector graphics formats like JPG, TIFF, PNG, EMF, WMF, PSD, BMP, and PSD.

The program supports OLE allowing one to copy objects and paste to other OLE applications and vice versa, but the portable mode may experience issues with this.

Category:
System Requirements: WinXP / Vista / Win7 / Win8
Writes settings to: %TEMP% folder
Dependencies: GDIPLUS.DLL
Unicode support: Yes
License: BSD
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch DynamicDraw.exe.

Optionally, the program comes with video help files that take up 25 megs of space in the LangId\1033 folder. These files can be removed to save space without impacting the program, but deleting the entire folder will cause the program to crash on launch.
What's new? Bugs fixed:
  • Cannot resize the object whose width or height is 0 with [Resize] Dialog.
  • Sometimes the text is not displayed which anchors bottom.
  • Some other bugs.

seems like this program deals with the registry, it comes with some registry files and their contents hint that the registry gets modified a lot by this program...

I use it (ver 0.95) for simple charts at home, its equals to Visio (for my needs..), its free, and its portable so I can always take it with me on my DOK. Recommended.

webfork on 2010-02-27 17:06

I tried really, really hard to make a go of this program to put together some flowcharts and so forth, but sadly its really not a replacement for Visio. Entering text into ojects and then and linking them (fairly simple stuff) is far too difficult and annoying. I hope the developers keep working on it and its gets to a more useful point.
