Same with virtually everything Nir Sofer writes - FANTASTIC! I just replaced Nexus Font with this one. It's GRRRRRRRRREAT ! !

Nick on 2010-02-16 01:35

This does not let you view fonts in other directories or install and uninstall fonts like Nexus Font does though.

If you go to
WORD > Insert > Symbol...
you'll see the available Unicode characters with their codes and can insert them in a document.

I don't really like and trust "Online Installers".
I would prefer a regular portable app that you "unpack and run".

PortableApps.com uses online installers when necessary by license.

It needs and uses Internet Explorer, which is NOT portable. I'll have a serious look at this program if it can work with my browser of choice. I am now not al interested in it.

MarkB on 2011-02-09 17:05

Meant: I am now not at all interested in it

Latest version still says 1.12.39 in the Help / About menu. And the .exe file is exactly the same size as 1.12.39. So has it even been updated?

@billon

I haven`t renamed anything.

billon on 2019-03-05 23:40

@hamasaki:

On my side:
FontViewOK_p.exe - FontViewOK.ini in the program's folder
FontViewOK.exe - FontViewOK.ini in APPDATA
Something wrong on your side

hamasaki on 2019-03-07 22:06

@billon

I don`t think so. I download the zip, run FontViewOK_x64_p.exe (from a folder called FontViewOK) and the data gets stored in the AppData folder initially. No big deal, once I moved the ini file it`s been fine.

I agree with Midas on this one. I just want a "viewer" and this one does exactly what I need it to do. When I want to review and select a font for a project, this one is quick and simple to use. I recently tried NexusFont and didn't like all the unnecessary functions and the clunky GUI. This one works for me.

OMG, 2.38kb (yes under 3kb) on disk! this should receive an on site "best tool in class, per kb" award.
