DriveBackup is a fast and simple tool to backup, restoration, and removal hardware drivers. Includes command line options, automatic restoration from CD\DVD and path formatting. DriverBackup! includes also an interactive command line builder.
v.1.0.3 seems to be the last release that does not require the dotNET 2.0 framework.

Indeed, version 1.0.3 appears to work and to the best of my knowledge I haven't succumbed to .NET yet
