Nice little player. The website has a page with plugins, but it's slightly misleading. The "Qmmp Plugin Pack" download directs to the player itself, and the others require building from source/installed dependencies.

Realist on 2016-10-06 16:25

Why do we another music player and that too which looks like WinAMP?

MIKLO on 2017-01-15 17:15

@Realist, I believe the more we have the better they will all get or they go away, after all competition makes the world go round. I would agree if all are the exact same then it is a waste, but coders usually try and add something more useful that the last version doesn't have. Just my thoughts. :)

  • Released on 16 Oct 2017
  • Suggested by Special

DxWnd lets you run many applications that default to fullscreen in a window, ideal for games. The program is a Win32 "hooker" program that intercepts and alters the behavior of window messages and APIs. It picks up events and injects code into the configured tasks to run fullscreen programs in a windowed environment while maintaining expected behavior.

Who are you? Like if gho the main guy behind DxWnd move over to Github, only then I would consider it an "official" repo, but other wise it seems pretty unofficial to me when a random person sets one up.

What are some of your contributions to DxWnd? Why didn't gho set it up instead?

refack on 2017-04-22 14:53

@Special, I'm just helping gho with the "mechanics" of the mirror. He owns and approves the mirror.

Tip: no help files are included in recent builds, so it is advised you grab v2_04_10 from Sourceforge which has the most up to date files.

BTW, the GitHub repository mentioned above by refack is currently empty.

KeePass is a password manager that helps you store and manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database locked with a single master key or a key file. The database is encrypted using the AES algorithm and the program includes a strong automatic password generator, expire dates, customized icons and categories and much more.

Note that available plug-ins may not be portable.

Note: KeePass Classic is also available with fewer features, but does not require DotNet. See edition comparison.

@Mixture: confirmed. I just tested with the Twofish plugin. It just saves a DLL file rather than settings but other plugins likely have additional options that would not be saved locally. I'll add a note to the entry.

Mixture on 2017-01-09 18:36

Great! Now that a new and native encryption algorithm, ChaCha20, and a new password hash, Argon2, has been added in version 2.35, I changed my database settings to include the new high security features. Now, if only someone will add more native high security features to KeePass 2.xx.

webfork on 2017-01-24 01:13

@Mixture - Although ChaCha20 is listed in the release notes as an encryption algorythm, I think this is actually a random number generator. While that's part of good crypto and the program is probably more secure as a result, I wouldn't describe the 2.xx series as insecure.

What perplexes me about this program is its clandestine development. If one opens its history page:
http://www.eonet.ne.jp/~gakana/tablacus/history/
one will see that "Fix minor bugs" & "Minor changes" prevail but there are no details whatsoever about them.

xor on 2016-09-26 20:13

Usage of Tablacus suits me better than Q-Dir, but it started to suffer that typical 98% CPU wacko thing that chased me away, Q-Dir also continues to be buggy since XP up to Win10 at refreshing the folders tree after deletion, renaming, etc (some times). I'm started to get suited with Double commander although still missing Drag-Select.

ripu on 2016-10-14 14:42

@xor I am not sure if I understand you. But, refreshing in general spikes the cpu. If I am at the desktop, without opening any software and start hitting refresh, the cpu will be at 99%.
