When you click the download link, a page opens with the download, just un-check the "Use our download manager and get recommended downloads" box. You'll get the zip file that you want. My Avast keeps blocking the site/file so I just disabled. After download I checked using VirusTotal and comes up clean.

ColorCop v5.3

shnbwmn on 28 Nov 2016
  • 101KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on
  • Suggested by risk

ColorCop allows you to magnify any part of your screen and pick a color from it using the eye dropper tool. The magnifier supports 1 to 16x zoom, and the eye dropper tool can pick an average color from a 3x3 or 5x5 area instead of sampling only a single pixel. The picked color can be easily exported to various formats required by HTML, Delphi, PowerBuilder, Visual Basic or Visual C++ etc.

Note: versions newer than v5.3 are no longer natively portable (see "What's new?" button above), because they leave traces in the system; as the license doesn't forbid redistribution, TPFC is making the natively portable v5.3 available for download.

Maybe a drive to make it more Windows 10 compatible, as later versions seem to have problems with it... (e.g., see https://github.com/ColorCop/ColorCop/releases/).

With a range of between 6v and 25 point puzzles it will keep you going for ages and it's just plain fun.

An added bonus you can probably fit most of the games on the authors site onto a floppy disk if you're really pressed for timewasting space

It hung for me too. Then I checked its compatibility/system requirements. Officially, it is only compatible with Win 2000/XP/2003 but, unfortunately, I'm stuck with Vista. Subsequentially, I set it to run as admin and with compatibility set to XP/SP2. This time, it started okay. Unfortunately, it still froze after a while :(

Some of the key combinations didn't seem to work for me. The window re-sizing was a really great feature but, using a laptop, I can't use the "numpad" features. I with the author had integrated some customization options so I could move them to other features.

Also, there's no included help file -- you have to go to the webpage or open the included PDF.

Still, if you have specific Window management needs, this might do the trick.

Its a nice game. Its a bit unfortunate that the patterns that are hidden are completely random. This makes it harder to get the image and the reward is less big because you don't get "the image" as reward.

For those who know the game PiCross, this is that game. Its nice, but a bit on the hard side due to the randomness. Rating: 3/5

Net is a game in which the computer prepares a network by connecting up the centres of squares in a grid, and then shuffles the network by rotating every tile randomly. Your job is to rotate it all back into place. The successful solution will be an entirely connected network, with no closed loops. As a visual aid, all tiles which are connected to the one in the middle are highlighted.

Great game. A challenging game with different puzzle difficulties. I never actually completed one yet, but I will! Ha!

Very addicting and it is so simple yet challenging. Exercise the brain while having a little fun.

Great game indeed!

I would classify this game as: suitable for work. The game is challenging and with its customization abilities, you can play a game quite easily in between stuff. The wrap enabled function is a great way if you can easily solve the puzzles, as it will make the levels quite a bit harder. Are you really up for a challenge, select custom and make yourself a 40x30 board. It'll give you an hour of doing something X)

Overall, I recommend this game on any usb stick in case you get bored, because this game certainly give you the ability to entertain yourself while doing other things. Do you have to wait for a job to finish? Play this in between. There's no timelimit so you can even do one move and switch to something else to return at a later stage.

I give this a 5/5.

Mines is a cross-platform clone of the popular game Minesweeper. You have a grid of covered squares, some of which contain mines, but you don't know which. Your job is to uncover every square which does not contain a mine. If you uncover a square containing a mine, you lose. If you uncover a square which does not contain a mine, you are told how many mines are contained within the eight surrounding squares.

I LOVE this game.
Every night for ages it was, "Just one more map and then I'll sleep"
It ranges from pretty difficult to absolutely horrid.
But every time you find it difficult you know that it's your own fault somewhere.

thoroughly addictive.

Inertia is a puzzle game in which you are a small green ball sitting in a grid full of obstacles. Your aim is to collect all the gems without running into any mines. You can move the ball in any orthogonal or diagonal direction. Once the ball starts moving, it will continue until something stops it. A wall directly in its path will stop it (but if it is moving diagonally, it will move through a diagonal gap between two other walls without stopping). Also, some of the squares are ‘stops’; when the ball moves on to a stop, it will stop moving no matter what direction it was going in. Gems do not stop the ball; it picks them up and keeps on going. Running into a mine is fatal. Even if you picked up the last gem in the same move which then hit a mine, the game will count you as dead rather than victorious.

Guess is a puzzle game in which you have a set of coloured pegs, and have to reproduce a predetermined sequence of them (chosen by the computer) within a certain number of guesses. Each guess gets marked with the number of correctly-coloured pegs in the correct places (in black), and also the number of correctly-coloured pegs in the wrong places (in white). This game is also known (and marketed, by Hasbro, mainly) as a board game ‘Mastermind’, with 6 colours, 4 pegs per row, and 10 guesses. However, this version allows custom settings of number of colours (up to 10), number of pegs per row, and number of guesses.

Cube is a puzzle game in which you have a grid of 16 squares, six of which are blue; on one square rests a cube. Your move is to use the arrow keys to roll the cube through 90 degrees so that it moves to an adjacent square. If you roll the cube on to a blue square, the blue square is picked up on one face of the cube; if you roll a blue face of the cube on to a non-blue square, the blueness is put down again. (In general, whenever you roll the cube, the two faces that come into contact swap colours.) Your job is to get all six blue squares on to the six faces of the cube at the same time. Count your moves and try to do it in as few as possible.

It writes some info about computer in %TEMP%\InfoTool\HDReadiness.txt, but I believe it's portable otherwise.

BTW, if you are planing to use later versions of Nero (or Nero portable), google for mini-nero or micro-nero, which are customized installations that remove most of useless bloatware tools.
