@billon

Thanks for your quietly updating Tixati's main entry, following the above agitation...;-)

  • "Uncompressed size": revised total footprint of relevant Win PE binaries
  • "How-to-extract": added pertinent advice to discard irrelevant Unix binaries

__philippe on 2017-02-24 23:33

@smaragdus
(Tixati is not "72MB (uncompressed)"- it is either 38 MB (x32) or 36 MB (x64).)

Quite so, strictly speaking...

BUT...

Currently, the "Uncompressed size" field is formally defined in the entry form as:
   "Total size of application files when fully unarchived/uncompressed".

We don't really want to open a whole 'nother can of worms about what exactly ought to be the appropriate scope of the "uncompressed size" field definition, with implication for every current entry in the Data Base, do we ?

...;-)

Back4Sure v3.7.8

Back4Sure is a feature-rich backup solution for typical backup use. The program can make a backup to hard-disk, USB drive or network and can also be compressed using high or low compression settings to a ZIP or 7-zip file of various compression levels, as well as encrypted for security.

Other features include filters to backup or exclude specific file types, a cleanup mode to remove old archives, and creation of one or multiple zip files (separated by directory structure). Backups are saved by directory structure either inside the archive or inside the directory for easy restoring. Users can also use multiple settings profiles, or "job" files.

what you should know:
Cleanup is optional - it is very close related to an incremental backup.
Using this you have to select the same Target Directory as before to backup only changed files and to delete files on the backup that have been deleted on the original file system as well (the latter one is the actual Cleanup).

Hope it helps ;)

romulous on 2015-01-11 06:52

It's a crying shame that you can only backup folders with this tool, and not individual files within those folders (yes, I know you can set filters, but unless you know in advance what files you want from each folder, this is not practical to use).

@xor
Better report your problems at the forum, the developer usually responds to bug reports and other issues. Of course you are not dumb. Did you change the initial location of StackNotes folder- it remembers the location of the last used file.

"This file may contain malware and the automatic download has been disabled."

Message from SourceForge when trying to download.

h3kt0r on 2018-02-08 12:43

Software is certified by SoftPedia as beeing "Clean of virus, spywares, adwares". The reason why it was reported as beeing "potentially malicious" at SourceForge was due to the AES encryption command line tool included with the package. This tool is no more distributed with the package and can optionnaly be downloaded from the "AES Crypt" website if needed. DL-ed it- Used it- Loved it
It's Irreplaceable

The only problem for me is it's bookmark feature
I'd say Comic Viewer is better when it comes to Bookmarking

The download link is broken, ... you land on a website where "they check your browser", and then you have have to agree to install an extension .... and this is where I gave up.
I got the "MangaMeeya" somewhere else on the internet (I can't remember where, bcz as a precaution I used a live DVD to download the app). What I downloaded is clean (the .exe has a score of 1/69 on Virustotal, and all the DLLs are clean).
I tested rapidly the app: it is very fast.
