I recently moved away from Thundebird after 10 years use because everytime they update it, it breaks something or it runs slower. Slypheed is excellent. Its fast and reliable and doesn`t render html, which is exactly what I need.

hamasaki on 2014-06-28 04:10

@lux Maybe this was an earlier version? Now it stores all the data within the app folder, so portable.

@Kea: Thanks for the warning re. non-encrypted password storage. It's the same reason I ditched filezilla.

Not encrypting one's account info is lame for otherwise well thought out software.

Bye bye Sylpheed >.

TypeAndRun v4.7b11 Private

smaragdus on 27 Oct 2016

TypeAndRun is a program launcher that sits in the systray. When you hit the hotkey, a small console is displayed for you to type something. For example, if you want to launch the Windows calculator, just type "cal" and TypeAndRun will auto-complete the rest of the word, then hit [Enter] to launch. You can also add aliases and specify various launch options.

Pretty nice application, basically a lightweight version of Launchy. For a command-line freak like me, it's a must-have :).

KeyNote v1.6.5

webfork on 25 Apr 2016

Keynote is a flexible notebook that is particularly suitable for writing and organizing free-form information, especially those that fit naturally within a tree-based structure, such as lists or outlines. A search function quickly locates information you are looking for. Notes can be easily and securely encrypted using either Blowfish or IDEA under the File - Properties menu.

Keynote NF (New Features) is an updated beta fork of the original code. As the name suggests, it adds many features including check boxes on children of selected nodes, hidden nodes, alarms on nodes, better treatment of tables, improved treatment of links, multi-language support, automatic compression, etc.
