Even though this program was written a long time ago it still works on Windows 8.1. (Sorry, but I don't have a Windows 7 machine to test it). Other than this, I would like to bring the following to TFPC's attention: |

@smaragdus: One thing is one thing and another thing is another thing. I was just noting that the file left behind is located in a temp folder, which does not affect the app's portability or its stealth status. I'm not judging the program's merits or demerits (never used it), and I too think that leaving a DLL behind is not a good practice, but let's not mix things up. A bad, or even a malicious program, can still be portable.

This little "proggy" has been around for a long time. Where it excels is the process of adding an MD5 signature to a filename to help verify you still have a valid file. Such as after emailing it to someone else. Drag and Drop the file to dsmd5.exe "Yes" to copy to clipboard, then append something like [md5=].

Oh my ass! :P that stupid message that pops up when you try to move or delete a file/folder is extremely annoying.. i usually use openfilesview, (from nirsoft of course!) it's lets you close openedfile handles from a listview, and then you can delete the file.

Unlocker actually installs a device driver that is listed in the registry as an absolute path. If the location of Unlocker changes while the old device driver path is still hanging around, Unlocker will refuse to run. |

This is a good idea, but is poorly implemented. It only uses the first 8 characters of the password. That is very insecure.

this program is horribly insecure and should be avoided. as statedly above, only the first 8 characters are actually used. this program will read 12345678x and 12345678y as the same password for example. |
