FastCopy is a file copy and synchronization tool with a variety of available extras. It uses different strategies (multi-threading, buffering) to help ensure maximum device throughput, as well as optional verification to make sure data is transferred correctly. It does not use the system cache, so other processes do not get bogged down during the copy process and a speed setting is also available, including pause. It supports Unix-style include/exclude wildcards filters.
Alternatively, PortableApps.com packages the last open source version as FastCopy Portable.

Re: the license change, it looks like no previously free features have been removed from the free version, and there are some improvements - so still worth updating if only for private use. |

EditPad Lite is a fast and lightweight general-purpose text editor. It allows you to open many files simultaneously and switch between them using tabs. It also supports many functions for text manipulation and conversion.
A 64-bit version is available. EditPad's installer now automatically installs a 64-bit version of EditPad on 64-bit Windows.

My first attempt to download EditPad Lite v8.42 resulted in a zero-length SetupEditPadLite.exe and a cryptic error message. After some research I discovered that your download points to http://download.jgsoft.com/editpad/SetupEditPadLite.exe, but my browser enforces the https protocol. Downloading from httpS://download.jgsoft.com/editpad/SetupEditPadLite.exe worked. |

This is going to come in handy for converting the Service Tag numbers on Dell computers to their Express Service Code equivalents. Just set the base value to 36 and enter the Service Tag number in the base box. The Express Service Code will appear in the decimal box.
