A keeper. Very lightweight with many useful features.

Although it's an image uploader with a lot of capability, I was actually most impressed by the included screen capture system. The super easy annotation and batch uploads may completely change how I do screen captures.

What a bad news! Where did you get these rumours from? I hope the rumours are not true.

@bzl333 weel, you have to bear criticism if you want to improve! (unkind criticism is another matter)
Calibre is "huge" (maybe it have to be like that, it's not a criticism, it's just a pity!), and I too don't like at all its way to make its own library (I have to put there only books I want to convert, and remove them, not a user friendly behaviour). It's a little too complicated, but it does its job well!
For me it's a must-have but also a could-be-better!! :-)

Per CALIBRE Version: 2.33.0 beyond version 1.48x CALIBRE no longer supports XP.
Download XP Compatible from http://download.calibre-ebook.com/1.html

Incidentally there's an official portable version available on the Calibre website (https://calibre-ebook.com/download_portable), which works fine and appears to be stealth. (No Trolltech keys.)

v2.7 released !

stisev on 2017-03-27 12:55

FYI I logged in to post this

The "p" in the rufus executible name makes it portable; otherwise, it writes to reg.
For example:

rufus-2.12p.exe is portable
rufus-2.12.exe is not.

Was driving me insane finding reg keys.. :)

Great program. Small footprint and quick. Good tool for formatting USB drives and for making USB drives bootable with ISOs or DOS.

Size 42MB, Win 6.x+ only... Terrible.
My choice - old DeskTopClock 1.81. Only 373 Kb. Less functional, but still cool.

Well this has been here a very long time, this program has worked fine for my uses.I was looking for an older version from the website I found in Japanese, the problem was many of the Japanese words are spelled wrong which changes the meaning. :D

Useful small footprint PDF splitting tool.

Only would wish for slightly more specific changelogs, beside the usual, non-descript
"fixed some bugs"...;-)
