@ReDeX I've tried SQLite Administrator for a few minutes... It comes in a zip file with needed sqlite dlls and it has no settings except language so it could be used from a USB drive. But it's not stealth, it registers itself to open .sdb files and a few others. It also has no unicode support as I can see. I couldn't find out where he stores language option setting... In trying to find that out, I have only found out that it doesn't work at all on my second computer... Don't know why though, I have genuine xp sp3 on that computer...

Sorry about the off topic again...
I found out where SQLite Administrator saves settings (in %APPDATA% by default), but it checks for sqliteadmin.ini in application directory first.

TreeLine v3.1.4

billon on 28 Nov 2020
  • 63MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 28 Nov 2020
  • Suggested by BigD

TreeLine is a unique cross between an outliner and a database. It stores information in a tree structure, but each node in the tree functions like a mini database with its own data types and field formats. It supports a wide variety of import/export options, one of the most useful being for Mozilla-type bookmarks.

Note: This program is not a typical tree-based outliner and requires some effort to read and digest in order to grasp the the program's data model and associated concepts. See the How to Use section of the website.

Treeline can now import plain text, delimited text, Treepad text, bookmarks (both HTML & XBEL formats), generic XML, and Open Document (ODF) files; export options include delimited text, HTML, generic XML, XSLT, and ODF. Hard to beat in one of the weaker aspects for this type of programs... The only downside up to now seems to be the sizable memory footprint (see this for a comparison between an a freshly started Treelines with an empty database and sibling Python based wikidPad bearing 302 pages, which BTW feels somewhat sluggish, both in portable installations: http://i54.tinypic.com/2mflnnt.png )

File Navigator DOES make registry entries. It puts the history of file copy/move-operations in the registry. Even when the INI-file is used for storing settings.

For those who like FarManager like me it's a very very good file navigator. I strongly recommend it. File Association is for exemple better than in total commander or freecommander !

Has anyone tried the file viewing dlls?
("FN file viewers Set of modules to view files of different types in the FN window")
They do not mention where to install.
They may or may not work at the application root.

To skip the Russian page if you have trouble reading that here is the English page link: http://relaxander.webest.net/index.php?lng=en

Here is the link to the file viewers: http://relaxander.webest.net/fn/viewers/
