tinySpell v1.9.44

tinySpell is a small utility that allows you to easily and quickly check and correct the spelling in any Windows application. It watches your typing on the fly and alerts you whenever it detects a misspelled word. It can also check the spelling of text that you copy to the clipboard.

Great app. Been using Tiny from the beginning. As Jake said, don't use the default 'beep'. I substitute the 'ding' wave...gets my attention every time.

Stickies v7.1e

Stickies work like Post-it notes for your PC. Notes can be customized and saved as styles, including fonts, colours, and buttons. Notes can be resized or snapped to each others edges to keep them lined up. They can also be hidden for a certain period, until a specified date and time, or to wake every day, week or month, to act as reminders.

How to extract:
  1. Download the installer and install to the default folder
  2. Copy all files (except instlog.lsl) to a folder of your choice
  3. Uninstall the program
  4. Create an empty file called stickies.ini in the application folder
  5. Launch stickies.exe
What's new? Changes:
  • Windows 8 is now recognised by Stickies so the correct font list is displayed.
  • The Stickies installer now puts an icon on the Start screen under Windows 8.
  • Maximum text in a sticky raised from 265000 to 614400 characters.

Following my previous post: the 2nd issue is a consequence of the 1st one; anyway I'll test the PortableApps version of Stickies.

Regarding pre-fetch this is entirely a Windows OS problem though some at Micro$oft call PreFetch a FEATURE.

Have you created an empty file called stickies.ini????

Instructions regarding this would be found in the TPFC entry.

This program is the best for it's purpose. Networking is also cool. Portable!

A have other problem lately. On each start it creates two new stickies. I delete keyboard hook dll but new stickies are not triggered by the keyboard. Any idea?

IPInfoOffline v1.31

IPInfoOffline allows you to view information about IP addresses. The program uses an internal database and does not use an external server for information.

For each IP address, a variety of information is available: IP block range, Organization (RIPE, ARIN, APNIC, LACNIC or AFRINIC), Assigned Date, Country Name, and Country Code. After retrieving the information about the desired IP addresses, You can copy the information to the clipboard, or save it into text/html/xml/csv file.
