goodandbad: might be a big file thing: program seemed to choke when I added a 1.3 gig WAV file. However, the batch processing for some basic normalizing operations was very, very useful. Definitely keep this around to do what Audacity won't.

rogerthedodger on 2012-11-07 01:14

Looked and sounded great, but batch processing only as .wav files, and you cant select multiple processing options. Maybe in the future this will be worthwhile, but not yet.

I like this program very much. I use it to make voice recordings for Asterisk.

Does anyone know why Sardu duplicates ISOs? and is it necessary? When you download an ISO, Sardu puts it into a folder called ISO. And if you add a file manually, you put the ISO into the same folder. Logical enough... but then Sardu makes a copy of the ISO file in a subfolder called ISOLinux, which means your Sardu directory is roughly twice as big as you thought it would be. So if you download, say, the BitDefender ISO at about 370 MB, you end up with 740 megabytes of BitDefender on your disk. Any one know why?
Thanks,
Mike

NEW Versions with more Options aviable ... http://www.sarducd.it/beta.html

QUOTE:
Many users requested that I add the ability to include stand-alone software. Inside the ISO folder I have included an `extra` folder where additional files can be put. You can enable this folder if it does not exist by pressing File -- Enable Extra.
User can load ISO not directly supported: Menu --> Add Extra ISO (Test) or Menu --> Add Extra ISO from memory (Test).
User can load own customized folder and/or menu iso/syslinux and GRUB4Dos.
This option is for advanced users, and I don't provide customer support related to its use.

Amazing how this program has improved from a simple player for tracker .xm files ( made by programs like skale tracker: http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14420&p=44902&hilit=Skale ) to now.
Still my favorite music player!

freakazoid on 2012-12-23 22:57

Agreed Checker!

I still use XMPlay everyday. The only thing I'd love to see is some sort of directory separator in the playlist, but other than that, still the best byte-for-byte audio player on the planet!

ResophNotes v1.5.5 Updated

SYSTEM on 30 Apr 2013

ResophNotes is a straight-forward text-only note taker where the first line of a note becomes the title in the note list. Can sort by title or last modified date and able to email/print notes from app. Includes an easy indent system and support for markdown (text-to-HTML conversion) with preview. Can recover delete note(s), import text (.txt) file(s), import Outlook exported .csv file, and Toodledo Notebook .csv file.

The program can sync securely online with the Simplenote service, which itself has a long list of possible software beyond ResophNotes, including for mobile devices like the iPhone, Android, and others.

Category:
System Requirements: WinXP / Vista / Win7
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes
Unicode support: Yes
Path portability: Automatic relative path (eg. ..\..\personal\work.doc)
License: Freeware
How to extract: Download the Portable ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch ResophNotes.exe.

Optionally, to save each note as an individual text file (the default database file is not easily readable by other programs), create a folder (e.g. Notes) and enter the name of that directory into the File Directory blank under the Storage tab (relative pathways like ..\Notes work fine). Existing notes in this folder will be automatically added.
What's new?
  • Enhance file saving logic for off-line editing
  • Add global search hot-key
  • Allow multiple-instance with "-allow_multiple" command line parameter

@vivi: I was a sworn CintaNotes user, but now that they charge $25 for a 1-year license (and after that, no updates) I see this as a fine alternative. :)

hamasaki on 2013-04-29 06:28

Great software, which has been my main notes app for ages and is used daily with no issues. I used to use CintaNotes and also NoteItDown, but the fact ResophNotes can sync to Simple Note is the killer feature. I have my notes synced with Draft on Android via Dropbox and it works great. I only need plain text notes, so I`m good to go.

logear on 2013-04-29 20:06

I agree with hamasaki. I've only used this for a few months & now can't do without it. Some of the above remarks aren't comparing apples to apples.
This is not a sticky note type of app, it's more of a notebook.
