Opera Settings Import and Export Tool allows backup and restore of bookmarks, mail, contacts, sessions, preferences, etc. and enables easy transfer of them between Opera installations in different folders or operating systems.

Additionally you can cleanly transfer individual settings and store settings files in their original state so exported settings can always be manually restored.

Also available for Linux.

i have been looking for a tool like this that was compatible with Opera :)

What does it differently or better than Keepass (http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=194)? In my opinion, Keepass hast the greater possibilities (there are apps for other platforms including Smartphones that at least can use the database) and better reputation (at least it is open source).
Just my opinion.

Werner: I agree that Keepass is probably better (it is for example actively updated) but it's always good to have alternatives in case one program doesn't do what you need.

The correct name of the program is: "Cookie Viewer"
(without the "s")
