The stable version (as linked here) doesn't work after the latest Windows update. The beta version (available from the website) works fine, though.

kiwichick888 on 2021-09-06 19:04

Hi, the link downloads the latest version (v5.11.3) and it didn't prompt for portable install. Also, Windows stopped the file running and I had to manually allow it.

> A: When installing the tweaker, choose the Portable type of install, as shown on the image... The portable version will be extracted to the selected folder.

This one is great. Unlike the other magnifier in the database ("OneLoupe"), it can also magnify constantly changing values on the display (OneLoupe sticks to the first value when moved over a changing field). I use Magnifixer to magnify the constantly changing display of a stopwatch ("1Time", also in the database), so I can check the watch when I'm doing something several metres away from the screen.

Currently in my Win10 installation ctrl-G for showing/hiding Magnifixer is not globally available. Any idea on how to fix this?

I need a program that will rotate a pdf by 4 degrees counterclockwise. I just discovered I can't do this in Acrobat!

webfork on 2015-03-21 02:38

BGM: I don't know of a program that will do that.  My best guess is a combination of 3 programs: export it to a high-quality PNG using PDF-XChange, rotate it using PhotoScape, and then convert back to PDF using LibreOffice.  Please post in forums if you find another method.

Version 4.5.2 available.

smaragdus on 2015-09-05 03:36

I needed to connect to an onion site and downloaded the latest version (5.0.2) but Australis makes Tor Browser absolutely terrible and unusable- I do not want to install heaps of add-ons just to restore features the Mozilla idiots removed. I had an earlier version of Tor Browser (3.6.0- before the advent of the abominable Australis) but the perpetual blinking of the Tor button urging for update is unbearable and cannot be disabled. It can be removed from the tool-bar but this way one cannot acquire new identities.

rbon on 2018-09-22 16:46

JPEGView v1.3.46

Ennovy on 8 Oct 2023
  • 6MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 7 Oct 2023
  • Suggested by infimum

JPEGView is a minimalistic viewer/editor designed to view images from digital cameras full screen and with highest quality possible. Basic image editing functionality is provided, allowing correction for typical problems as color cast, high/low contrast, orientation and under- or overexposure very quickly and interactively during review of the images. The program can view and save JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF, or WEBP. Includes batch rename and copy features.

While JPEGView is not intended as a replacement for a full-blown image editor, the included tool set of commonly-used modifications means such editors should be needed less often.

A 64-bit version is available (within the folder).

Alternatively, JPEGView Portable is also available from PortableApps.

Re my previous comment: This was with the 32-bit version. I have no way of knowing how the 64-bit version deals with transparencies, as I can't run it on my machine. At any rate, viewing them is OK; just don't save them from JPEGView.

nineascii on 2023-03-25 11:01

I've been using this program for many years. I also have set this as my default Jpg viewer. It is super fast, preloads the next image before you view it so there is no white screen flash between images.
- Fastest image viewer I have ever used
- Great for a quick touch-up to my wallpaper images
- I use this to view comic books, it has the easiest image navigation
- Zoom on demand with the mouse,
- easily move around the image by dragging the square around the image preview window
- I had to crop a bunch of old single image document scans. Using this program and a quick macro I was able to crop and save in about 10 seconds per image.
- I also used it to quickly fix old document images that were askew.

I work with computers so I have deployed this program to hundreds of machines.
- Thank you to PortableFreeware for this well sorted website.

FileHandler on 2023-08-06 15:29

I fully agree with everything nineascii said about it. I've also been using it for many years, so glad that development continues. It now supports AVIF and WEBP etc.

The customizing options are superb, if you are willing to invest some time into the config files. You can set your own key shortcuts, assign macros, copy/move files on the fly, set up your own external editors and apps to hand over pics.
