Tried to rotate pages in a scanned magazine article, resulted in an error message.

webfork on 2013-12-26 19:42

That's weird that it doesn't work. Anyway, PDF X-Change (which I recommend) and X-PDFsam will both handle that.

Downloaded this to try exporting the pages of a PDF file to image files. It didn't work at all, just returned an unhelpful "failure" message.

RecRedDot on 2012-04-06 15:54

The "About PtoBMP" window says it will extract BMP/JPG from PDF files 'created by BtoPDF' (ONLY!!!); this should be clearly described in Synopsys to avoid frustracting loss of time attempting extraction of JPG from PDF files not created with this utility.

juvera on 2014-12-27 01:14

Disappointing, this app does not extract jpg images from pdf files.
But this one does: http://tcpdiag.dl.sourceforge.net/project/pdftojpg/pdftojpg/pdf_to_jpg_1a/PDF_to_JPG_exe.zip
It is a command line application (therefore it does not qualify according to portablefreeware) very easy to use (just pass the name of the pdf file as an argument, and all the images are extracted in a folder created and located in the folder where you launch the app). From what I have tested, the images are extracted with their original resolution.

Used this program to successfully extract keys from an older backup of the Registry hive files. Followed an online guide which recommended it since it automatically tweaks the exported key file with the correct path for importing into the registry.

Great program. Place shortcut in startup folder. Check the box "exit after time has been synced". Its quick and fast no extra time on boot up.

tonecool on 2008-12-30 16:12

Confirmed, Neutron doesn't write anything to the registry and very good program btw

Webfork on 2009-12-21 17:12

Great program and very useful. The comment left by "just_someone" to check the time and exit works beautifully. Saves me a lot of trouble with multiple machines I work on that are off by a few minutes or hours.
