nPOPuk is lightweight yet feature-rich e-mail client. Features include multiple saveboxes, additional mail filtering options, basic viewer for HTML-only messages and option to send them to an external program (web browser), option to quote only portions of a message when replying/forwarding etc.

@webfork: posted "To use WebMail in nPOPuk v2.16, easily" to nPOPuk UpDate forums & re-posting comment replies @Sam & @longtime npop user ; don't know how to edit or delete comments, yet

orchus on 2014-05-05 03:53

@Sam: can make nPOPuk v2.16 NOT save messages from server after retrieval: File >> Global Options >> Recv Tab >> in lower Acct Messages Box: "Nothing Saved"

@longtime npop user: not keyboard friendly, but can change sort options by: Alt-F >> O (for Global Options) >> Shift-Tab >> (once on Global Options tabs use arrows to get to sort Tab) >> use Tabs and Space to change focused selection & make selection

@Orcus: since it is now duplicated to the forum topic, you could delete that long post of yours by clicking in the garbage bin icon to the right -- after copying and pasting it to an amended new comment with the forum URL, for example...

I recently moved away from Thundebird after 10 years use because everytime they update it, it breaks something or it runs slower. Slypheed is excellent. Its fast and reliable and doesn`t render html, which is exactly what I need.

hamasaki on 2014-06-28 04:10

@lux Maybe this was an earlier version? Now it stores all the data within the app folder, so portable.

@Kea: Thanks for the warning re. non-encrypted password storage. It's the same reason I ditched filezilla.

Not encrypting one's account info is lame for otherwise well thought out software.

Bye bye Sylpheed >.
