[Anonymous] S TVery useful if it remembers the directories. [2006-08-11 18:19]

[Anonymous] flux2kWow! Where have you been all my life! Aside from some small graphical glitchs (some panes get cropped - fixed by quiting and opening) this is a nice simple file explorer. [2006-08-13 09:06]

[Anonymous] NIck PostHoly Crap. I vote this one portable freeware of the year. [2006-08-14 09:02]

[Anonymous] xvt34Remembers window and pane sizes on mine. I am using 1.1. [2006-08-15 21:55]

[Anonymous] linuxampSimple yet effective. As much as I like the minimalistic design of this app there are a few extra features that would be nice for example adjustable thumbnail size. [2007-08-28 06:28]

[Anonymous] nvictori'm a minimalist. i tried both q-dir and mtexplorer. both were under 1mb. i quickly removed q-dir because it made sounds when i clicked on a folder, and i found no way to get rid of the annoying clicking sound. even explorer does not make any sound. and i have my system sounds disabled. [2009-04-24 16:34]

[Anonymous] nvictormtexplorer deceived me. i went back to q-dir. i just have to find a way to disable that cliking sound. [2009-05-02 20:03]

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
