If you downloaded version 3.38, the help files (reminder-en.chm) has just been updated as of 2023-02-23. It had not been when the version was released a month ago.

I agree with dot that there are some nice options, and in addition, the list is in text format, and I have it set to autocreate CSV format so I can look at all, say, upcoming Canadian elections (I have all kinds of things in mine) and import into other programs. The author revisits most of his tools about once a year, and for utilities that is pretty good. After over a decade, I am still using Reminder.

After having tried out several of those simple reminders, I believe I'm going to stick with this one. It's not as pretty as a few other ones, but it has some nice additional options (like launching of files, programs, links, etc.) and, above all, it's the only one that I know of that reminds me not only after the computer has started, but also after the computer gets out of STANDBY mode. And I use standby quite often. If someone knows of another reminder that also reminds after the computer gets out of standby, please let me know.

DateTrac is a far better and more flexible daily task reminder. It is available (completely free) here - download from freewarefiles: http://www.freewarefiles.com/downloads_counter.php?programid=25608

Excellent, tiny, portable, 1 exe reminder program. Can even show the age of the person on their birthday. I have used this for years and found nothing better.

Date Reminder lists all events in chronological order, with recurring events showing only once(the next one). Supported recurrence: every (number of) days / weeks / month / years

Date Reminder reminds you of recurring or nonrecurring events, like birthdays, bills to pay, appointments etc...
The program can be run from the Startup folder with an option to show only, if there are any alerts for this day. If Date Reminder is kept in the System Tray (optional), if will also alert you after standby or hibernation.

The reminders are listed in chronological order, with recurring events showing only once (the next one). This gives you an instant view of the alerts (at top), as well as a full list of all reminders. Other view modes: Alerts only, History.

Features:

Personalized colors and fonts

Events may recur every year, month, week, day, or every 10 days, every 2 weeks, every 3 month etc.

For monthly or annual reminders you can preselect a specific day (e.g. "first Monday") of the month

Reminders can be marked "done", i.e. "dealt with". Past events will remain in the list until they are marked "done".

An advance notice marker can be set a number of days before an event.

An extra calendar box, sizable for one or more month, always highlights the date of the currently selected line.

Date format according to the user's regional settings (a different format can be specified in the INI file).

The user interface is controlled by language files. English (default) and some other languages are included. Custom language files can be created.

By far one of the best remainders I found!
