I wish this was open source, so that I could get it up to date with win7 and 64bit. I only got 0.1 alpha to work with, but that's a huge step away from 0.4...
Oh well, still one of my favorite screen capture apps.

Super lol...
"FGWNDGRAB OS VERSION ERROR: FGWndGrab is for MS Windows 98 or newer"
I'm on Windows 7. Naturally, this is where 'Compatibility Mode' comes into play, but still, I think this program could use an update (either in code, or if already done in code, than in portablefreeware's link)
Just checking it out briefly, I got a couple comments for ya.. First, wd for making something nice, simple, to-the-point-and-out-of-the-way. I like that. That said, easier access to different capture types (desktop, window, etc) either via hotkey and/or the context menu of tray icon. FSCapture has both, as I recall (not that you need copy it). The settings navigation seems weird to me. Maybe its because I'm on Windows 7, but I doubt thats it. I have to kinda 'click-along' to move up and down the list. Last comment: It seemed to want to use C:/Program Files/A43 as its default save location o.O;; I'm not sure why it'd default to the program folder of the file manager I was using at the time
salam alicom
is there an internal editor in ?
(sorry for bad english)
I think this application is just superb and I use it all the time. It's one of my favourite downloads ever.
If you cannot download from the site, and are getting an error, download here:

Save the GIF image to your desktop, and then rename it to ZIP and open. The program is great, and also very tiny :).
can someone upload to a file hosting website so people can download instead of getting the 'daily download quoto exceeded' all the time.
Redlar's FGWndGrab is the *only* screen capture utility on the entire internet that is capable of doing screen captures of non-rectangular objects such as the different 'skins' of Windows Media Player 10/11 and causing all background pixels to be completely transparent. This is a trick that can only usually be done in Adobe PhotoShop. The graphic file formats with this transparent background can be GIF or PNG.
9/10.
I like this application very much -- more than FastStone's FSCapture. Redllar's FGWndGrab has more features like thumbnail, watermark, FTP and a few others that I have not tried (dual monitor, background fill). It is only 168 Kb UPX compressed (without GDI+).
I would very happily give this 10/10 if Redllar could modify it so that we could choose the capture type (desktop, window, rectangle, etc.) on-the-fly via hot-keys.
"Update 0.4.0: Added support for Windows 98..."
This is even more archaic than MWSnap, which was released in 2002 and at least officially supports Windows XP.
