HTTP Downloader is tiny and light, high-performance, multi-part download manager that offers browser integration via extensions (available for Chromium and Firefox browsers). It supports FTP, pause and resume, drag and drop; URL drop window, download history (export and import), system tray (minimize to tray, close to tray, add URL(s) from tray), always on top, thread pool count, SSL/TLS, proxy and more.

Tiny file size and very-functional download manager.
Great to use for servers that limit download speeds to a low KB/s.
My only tiny nitpick is probably to change the default download parts from 1 to 2 or maybe 4. Other than that, thumbs up!

I wonder if it supports ajax methods that typically require websockets or similar newer technologies to pull data down, or even HTTPS? If it doesn't do ajax, I may as well just wget on chron. I don't really need pause/resume/multipart type stuff.
Just trying to automate huge amounts of downloads, then test for removal of the source material later if it gets a takedown request. Then, obviously, my script automatically deletes said material from my own machine to comply with the spirit as well as the letter of the law. Any other strategy would be indecent and/or seditious, particularly with takedowns on wikileaks and similar sites. =)
Maybe I should make my Banned Autoremover standalone and give it to this site. Anybody interested? We could call it AutoB& or AutoBahn. :P

Simple and reliable downloader - absolutely outstanding, above all by today's standards of bloated framework-ware!
Just wondering why I can't vote it up - only the "This app sucks!" is visible, but this app ROCKS.

Oh man, you are my hero.
